AN ORDINANCE APPROVING THE ANNEXATILON OF CERTAIN
UNINHABITED TERRITORY, DESIGNATED
"POSTER ROAD NUMBER ONE ANNEXATION
TO THE TOWN OF LOS GATOS
THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF LOS GATOS DOES ORDAIN
AS VOLLOWS :
WHEREAS on the Std day of February 19 62 , the Council
of the Town of Los Gatos did pass and adopt a Resolution giving
notice of the proposal to annex certain uninhabited territory to the
-TQwn of Los Gatos, said territory being therein designated as
'"Foster Road Number One Annexation,, , and said action being
taken by the Council of said Town as the legislative body of the
Town pursuant to a written petition therefore, said Resolution
describing the boundaries of the territory so proposed to be
annexed to said Town; and
WHEREAS, said Resolution did contain a notice of the
day, hour and place when and where the said Council of said Town
would hear protests made by any person owning real property with-
in the territory proposed to be annexed, the time of said hearing
being not less than twenty nor more than sixty days from the date
of the passage of said Resolution; and.
WHEREAS, on the 19th day of March 19 62
at the hour of 8:00 o'clock p.m. in the Los Gatos Council
Chambers in the 'own Hall of the Town of Los Gatos, County of
Santa Clara, State of California, said time and place being the
day, hour and place fixed in said Resolution for hearing protests
to said annexation, the said Council of said Town did hear and
pass upon all protests made to said proposed annexation and did
determine that no protests to said proposed annexation have been
made by or on behalf of the owners of one-half of the value of
the territory proposed to be annexed as shown by the equalized
roll, nor by public and private owners of equal, to one-half of

the value of the territory proposed to be annexed as determined by
said legislative body; and
WHEREAS, said territory is contiguous to the Town of
Los Gatos, and is uninhabited territory in the County of Santa
Clara, and all of the procedural requirements of the annexation of
Uninhabited Territory Act of 1939, particularly Government Code
Sections 35300 and 35314 inclusive have been fully complied with;
N®W, THEREFORE, the said Council of the Town of Los Gatos
does hereby approve the annexation of said territory, hereinafter
described, to the Town of Los Gatos and does hereby further ordain
that the said territory be and is hereby annexed to the Town of Los
Gatos.
That said territory, the annexation of which to the
Town of Los Gatos is hereby approved, is all that territory situate
in the County of Santa Clara, State of California, more particularly
described as follows:

"FOSTER ROAD NUMBER ONE ANNEXATION"
Beginning at the Northwest corner of the Northeast quarter of
Section 28, Township 8 South, Range 1 West, Mount Diablo Base and
Meridian, said point of beginning being also in the Town Limits of
the Town of Los Gatos; running thence Southerly along the Westerly
line of the Northeast quarter of said Section 28, T-8-S-R-1-W to the
point of intersection of said line with the most Southerly line of
that certain parcel of land conveyed to Robert W. Indorf, et ux, by
Deed recorded November 18, 1954, in Book 3012, Official Records,
page 521, Santa Clara County Records;
Thence, following the various courses and distances of the
exterior boundaries of said Indorf parcel North 760 30' East 3.40
chains, North 00 22' West 0.54 chains; North 460 51' East 0.52 chains;
North 660 30' East 1.07 chains; North 160 56' East 2.18 chains;
North 510 22' East 0.89 chains; North 870 East 1.48 chains; South
800 East 2.08 chains to a 2" x 4" redwood post marked W.L.O. standing
at the Southwesterly corner of a lot conveyed by George Latimer to
Rowena P. Wattersby, by Deed dated April 25, 1898 and recorded in
Book 208 of Reeds, page 21, Records of Santa Clara County, California;
Thence, along the Northwesterly boundary of said last named
Wattersby Lot, North 420 52' East 4.30 chains to the center of a
small creek and gulch forming part of the Southwesterly line of that
certain 25 acre tract of land conveyed by Vincent Foster, et al, to
Charles M. Decker by Deed dated March 19, 1880 and recorded in Book
56 of Deeds, page 65, records of said County of Santa Clara;
Thence, meandering along the center line of said creek down
stream with the following courses and distances North 460 25' West
1.95 chains, North 660 West 1.05 chains, North 510 West 1.445 chains,
North 270 18' West 0.51 chains, North 550 30' West 1.035 chains,
North 120 38' West 0.30 chains, North 290 13' West 1.33 chains,
North 260 12' West 0.64 chains, North 150 4' West 1.10 chains, North
580 30' West 1.90 chains to a point on the Westerly bank of said
creek to a post marked V.F.4, said point being also a point in the
Southeast corner of that certain parcel of land conveyed to Fred E.
Syres, et ux by Deed recorded March 25, 1957, in Book 3758, Official
Records, page 678, Santa Clara County Records;

Thence, following the various courses and distances of the
Easterly line of said Syres parcel generally Northerly to the
Northeast corner thereof, said point being also in the Town Limits
of the Town of Los Gatos;
iv' Thence, Westerly along the Northerly line of said Sy.;jes parcel
and along the Town Limits of the Town of Los Gatos to the point of
Beginning.
