AN ORDINANCE APPROVING THE ANNEXA ILON OF CERTAIN
UNINHABITED TERRITORY, DESIGNATED
"WEST SIDE NUMBER FOUR ANNEXATION"
TO THE TOWN OF LOS GALOS
THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE T079N OF LOS GATOS DOES ORDAIN
AS FOLLOWS:
WHEREAS on the 6th day of _ Eebrhary, lg 61 , the Council
of the Town of Los Gatos did pass and adopt a Resolution giving
notice of the proposal to annex certain uninhabited territory to the
Town of Los Gatos, said territory being therein designated as
"West Side Number Four Annexation" , and said action being
taken by the Council of said Town as the legislative body of the
Town pursuant to a written petition therefore, said Resolution
describing the boundaries of the territory so proposed to be
annexed to said Town; and
WHEREAS, said Resolution did contain a notice of the
day, hour and place when and where the said Council of said Town
would hear protests made by any person owning real property with-
in the territory proposed to be annexed, the time of said hearing
being not less than twenty nor more than sixty days from the date
of the passage of said Resolution; and
WHEREAS, on

at the hour of 8:00; o

in the
Los Gatos
Council
Chambers in the Town Hall of the Town of Los Gatos, County of
Santa Clara, State of California, said time and place being the
day, hour and place fixed in said Resolution for hearing protests
to said annexation, the said Council of said Town did hear and
pass upon all protests made to said proposed annexation and did
determine that no protests to said proposed annexation have been
made by or on behalf of the owners of one-half of the value of
the territory proposed to be annexed as shown by the equalized
roll, nor by public and private owners of equal to one-half of

the value of the territory proposed to be annexed as determined by
said-legislative body; and
WHEREAS, said-territory is contiguous to the Town of
Los Gatos, and is uninhabited territory in the County of Santa
Clara, and all of the procedural requirements of the annexation of
Uninhabited Territory Act of 1939, particularly Government Code
Sections 35300 and 35314 inclusive have been fully complied with;
NOW, THEREFORE, the said Council of the Town of Los Gatos
does hereby approve the annexation of said territory, hereinafter
described, to the Town.of Los Gatos and does hereby further ordain
that the naidd territory be and is hereby annexed to the Town of Los
Gatos.
That said territory, the annexation of which to the
Town of Los Gatos is hereby approved', is,.all that territory situate
in the County of Santa Clara, State of-California, more particularly
des6ribed.as follows:

Beginning on the Westerly Town Limits line of the Town of
Los Gatos at the point of intersection with the Northerly line of
Live Oak Avenue, as the same now exists, said point of beginning
being also a point in the Westerly line of Wissahickon Avenue, as
the same now exists;
Thence, Westerly along the Northerly line of said hive Oak
Avenue to the most Westerly point thereof, said point being also the
point of intersection with the Westerly line of Madrone Avenue, as
the same now exists;
Thence, Southerly along the Westerly line of said Madrone Avenue
and the Southerly prolongation of said Westerj~y line to the point
of intersection with the Southerly line of Manzanita Avenue;
Thence, following the various courses and distances of said
Southerly line of Manzanita Avenue generally Southerly and Easterly tc
the point of intersection with the Southerly prolongation of the
Easterly line of that certain parcel of land known as San Jose
Water Works Lot No. 32 as said parcel is described in the Deed from
Yountain Spring Water Company to the San Jose Water Works dated
February 12, 1901, recorded March 28, 1901, in Book 240 of Deeds
at page 196, Santa Clara County Records;
Thence, Northerly along said Southerly prolongation of the
aatefly line of said San Jose Water Works Lot No. 32 and further
Northerly along the Easterly line of said San Jose Mater Works Lot
No. 32 to the point of intersection with Southerly line of Laurel
Avenue, as the same now exists;
Thence, Easterly along the Southerly line of said Laurel Avenue
to the point of intersection with the Southerly prolongation of the
Westerly line of Wissahickon Avenue, as the same 'now exists, said
point- being also -in the Town Limits of the Town of Los Gatos;
Thence, Northerly -along- the Southerly prolongatiou of the
Westerly line of said Wissahickon Avenue aLd further Northerly along
the Westerly line of said Wissahickon Avenue and along the Town Limit€
line of the Town of Los Gatos to the point of beginning.
