AN ORDINANCE APPROVING THE ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN
UNINHABITED TERRITORY, DESIG14ATED
"POLLARD ROAD NUMBER TWO ANNEXATION"
TO THE TOWN OF LOS GATOS
THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE T(TKN OF LOS GATOS DOES ORDA.%.
AS FOLLOWS :
WHEREAS on the 16th day of _ January., 19 61 , the Council
of the Torn of. Los Gatos did pass and adopt a Resolution giving
notice of the proposal to annex certain uninhabited territory to the
-Town of Los Gatos, said territory being therein. designated as
"POLLARD ROAD NUMBER TWO ANNEXATION" , and said action being
taken by the Council of said Town as the legislative body of the
Town pursuant to a written petition therefore, said Resolution
describing the boundaries of the territory so proposed to be
annexed to said Town; and
WHEREAS, said Resolution did contain a notice of the
day, hour and place when and where the said Council of said Town
would hear protests made by any person owning real property with-
in the territory proposed to be annexed, the time of said hearing
being not less than twenty nor more than sixty days from the date
of the passage of said Resolution; and
WHEREAS.$ on the 20th day of February 19 61,
at the hour of 8:00 o'clock p.m. in the Los Gatos Council
Chambers in the Town Hail of the Town of Los Gatos, County of
Santa Clara, State of California, said time and place being the
day, hoar and place fixed in said Resolution for hearing protests
to said annexation, the said Council of said Town did hear and
pass upon all protests made to said proposed annexation and did
determine that no protests to said proposed-annexation have been
made by or on behalf of the owners of one-half of the value of
the territory proposed to be annexed as shown by the equalized
roll, nor by public and private owners of equal to one-half of

the value of the territory proposed to be annexed as determined by
said legislative body; and
WHEIUAS, said territory is contiguous to the Town of
Los Gatos, and is uninhabited territory in the County of Santa
Clara, and all of the procedural requirements of the annexation'of
Uninhabited Territory Act of 1939, particularly Goverament Code
Sections 35300 and 35314 inclusive have been fully complied with;
1`3OW5 THEREFORE, the said Council of the Town of Los Gatos
does hereby approve the annexation of said territory, hereinafter
described, to the Town of Los Gatos and does hereby further ordain
that the Laid territory be and is hereby annexed to the Town of Los
Gatos.
That said territory, the annexation of which to the
Town of Los Gatos is hereby approved, is all that territory situate
in the County of Santa Clara, State of California, more particularly
described as follows:

BEGINNING at the corner of West Parr Avenue
and Pollard toad, as the same now exists, said point of beginning
being also in the Town Limits line of the Town of Los Gatos;
THENCE Sbutheasterl-5z -along' the Easterly line of Pollard
Road, as the same now exists, and along the Town Limits line of
the Town of Los Gatos to the point of intersection with the
Northeasterly prolongation of the Easterly line of that certain
Parcel NO. 1 of land conveyed in the Deed from Lords Bogner to
Louis Bogner and Elizabeth Gertrude Bogner, his wife, recorded
July 13, 1960 in Book 4853 of Official Records, at page 259,
Santa Clara County Records;
THENCE, Southwesterly along said Northeasterly prolongation
of said Easterly line of said Bogner parcel and along the Easter-
ly line of said Bogner parcel to the corner there-
of ; J
THENCE fer Southwesterly along the Southwesterly
prolongation of the Easterly line of said Bogner parcel to the
point of intersection with the Southerly line of the Southern
Pacific Railroad Company right-of-way;
THENCE, following the Southerly line of the Southern
Pacific Railroad Company right-of-way Norttwesterly to the point
of intersection with the Easterly line of that certain parcel
of land conveyed in the Deed from Charles Paice-,and Marion Paice,
his wife, to D. Leonard Detrick recorded December 18, 1959 in
Book 4641 of Official Records, at page 242, Santa Clara County
Records;
THENCE, following the various courses and distances of the
exterior boundaries of said Detrick parcel Southerly 281.83 feet;
Westerly 198 feet; Southerly 32.82 feet; Westerly 437.31 feet;
Northeasterly 101.83 feet; Northwesterly 234.96 feet and North-
easterly 92.40 feet to the Northwest corner thereof, said point
being also the Southwest corner of that certain parcel of land
conveyed in the Deed from the Southern Pacific Railroad Company
to the Pacific Gas and Electric Company recorded February 7,
1955 in Book 3078 of Official Records, at page 11, Santa Clara
County ]Records;

THENCE, following the exterior boundaries of said Pacific
Gas and Electric Company parcel Northeasterly and Northwesterly
to the point of intersection with Southerly line of the herein-
before mentioned Southern Pacific Railroad Company right-of-way,
said point being also the point of intersection of the South-
easterly prolongation of the Westerly line of that certain parcel
of land conveyed in the Decree of Distribution to Marie Hopkins
recorded November 16, 1950 in Book 2097 of Off icil l Records, at
page 32, Santa Clara County Records, wttb-.the said Southerly
line of the Southern Pacific Railroad Company right-of-way;
THENCE, Northwesterly along the Southeasterly prolongation

of said Westerly line of said Hopkins property to Southwest
corner thereof ;
THENCE, following the exterior boundaries of said last
named Hopkins parcel Northwesterly, Northeasterly and Northerly
to the point of intersection with the Southerly line of Pollard
Road, as the same now exists;
THENCE, Easterly along the Southerly line of said
Pollard Raod and Southeasterly along the Westerly line of said
Pollard Road to the point of intersection with the Westerly
prolongation of Southerly line of West Parr Avenue, as the same
now exists;
THENCE, Easterly along said Westerly prolongation of said
Southerly line of said West Parr Avenue to the point of
beginning.
