vVHEREA:S, pursuant to the provisions of an ?pct of
the Legislature of the State of California, known as the
ItAnnexation Act of 1913,11 and pursuant to Ordinance No. 391
adopted by the Town Council of the Town of Los Gatos on the
12th day of ?Larch, 1956, a special election 'was held on the
8th day of Tray, 1956, in that certain inhabited territory
contiguous to the Town of Los Gatos designated "West Side
Number One Annexation" and which is hereinafter.more particu-
larly described; and
VVTHEREAS, at said special ''election" the following
question was submitted to the qualified electors residing
in said territory:

WHEREAS, it appears from the canvass of the returns
of the votes cast at said special election that a majority of
all votes cast in said territory on the question of said
annexation favored annexation; and
WHEREAS) it appears that said special election and
all proceedings relating thereto have been conducted strictly.
in accordance with law;
NOW, THEREFORE, the Town Council of the Town. of
Los Gatos do'g,"ordain as follows:
SECTION 1.. That the annexation of that certain
inhabited territory contiguous to the Town of Los Gatos des-
ignated as "West Side Number. One Annexation!' be and the same

which was submitted at the special election held on the 8th
day of ~iay, 1956. Said territory is described as follows
Beginning on the northwesterly line of the Town
Limits, Town of Los Gatos, at the intersection frith the
northeasterly line of Bachman Avenue, being 50 feet in width,
thence northwesterly along said northeasterly line of Bachman
Avenue to the point of intersection with the northeasterly
prolongation of.the northwesterly line, of Lot 13 of Block 2
as shown upon that certain map entitled "Glen ?ridge Terrace".
which reap was filed for record in the Office of the Recorder
of the County of Santa Clara, State of California on August
27, 190$ in Book M of Maps, Page 29; thence southwesterly
along said northeasterly prolongation of said northwesterly
line to the point of intersection with the southwesterly line
of said Bachman Avenue;' thence southwesterly along the said
northwesterly -line of said Lot 13, and continuing south-
westerly along the northwesterly lines of Lots 16, 17., l$,
19, 20, 21, 22 and 25, all of Block 2 . of said Glen Ridge
Terrace Subdivision, to the point of intersection with the
northeasterly line of West Ellenwood Avenue, being 50 feet in
width; thence further southwesterly along the southwesterly
prolongation of the last named northwesterly line to the
point of intersection with the southwesterly line of said
West Ellenwood. Avenue; thence southeasterly along said south-
westerly line of said Vest Ellenwood Avenue to the point of
intersection with the northerly line of Ellenwood
avenue,
being 50 feet in width; thence further southeasterly along

the northerly prolongation of the westerly line of that certain
parcel of land described in the Deed from Charles H. Flowers
and Cora I. Flowers to A. R. Stanley and Plable A.. Stanley,
dated April 15, 1932, recorded October 19, 1933 in Book 657

thence southerly along said northerly prolongation of said
westerly line of said last named parcel to the northwesterly
corner of said parcel; thence continuing southerly along said
westerly line of said parcel to the northwesterly corner of
that certain parcel of land described in the Deed from Matt
0. Dillingham and Helen Johnson Dillingham to Robert P. Brock
and Catherine Ii. Brock, dated June 30, 1955, recorded July
i$, 1955 in Book 3226 Official Records, Page 361, Santa Clara
-E6unty Records; thence southerly along the. `westerly line of
said last'named parcel to the point of intersection with the
northwesterly line of the Town Limits, Town of Los Gatos;
thence northeasterly along said northwesterly Tow Limits line
to the point of beginning.
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be published once
in the LOS GATOS TIIIE-S-SARATOGA OBSERVER, a newspaper of
general circulation, printed and published in the Town of
Los Gatos:
The above and foregoing ordinance was duly and
-regularly introduced at a regular meeting of the Town Council
of the Totim of Los Gatos held on 'the 21st day of May, 1956,
and was thereafter on the `day of May, 1956, at a con-
tinued regular meeting' duly and` regularly adopted by the
following vote.
