ORDINANCE NO. AN ORDINANCE AM.ENDTNG ORDINANCE NO. 276 OF THE TOWN OF IDS GATOS
RELATING TO ZONING.
WHEREAS, the Town Council of the Town of Los Gatos finds
and deems it necessary for the public interest, health, comfort,
convenience, safety and general welfare to amend the Town Ordinance
No. 276 by changing the hereinafter described property hereinafter
set forth in Section 1 hereof from an "R la residential district
to an "R-20 residential district; and
WHEREAS, it appears that all of the procedural requirements
of Section 15 of said Zoning Ordinance No. 276 have been fully
complied with;
THE TOWN] COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF LESS GATOS DOES ORDAIN AS
FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That Section 4.1 of Ordinance No. 276 of the
Town of Los Gatos, a sectional district map, is hereby am.end.ed
In part so that the district and boundaries shown thereon, and
particularly the parcels described as follows: 8
PARCEL ONE
Beginning at a stake in the Northerly line of Church Street,
said stare being 50 feet Easterly from the Southeasterly
corner of the lands formerly owned by Mary C. Knowles,
deceased, and running thence Northerly along the Easterly
line of the lands now or formerly of John D. Beard, a
distance of 90 feet, to a point which is 50 feet, more or
less, Easterly from the Easterly line of the lands formerly
owned by Mary C. Knowles, deceased, thence running Easterly
83 feet, more or less, to a point in the Westerly line of the
Roadway leading from Church Street to the lands of the Los
Gatos High School, which said Roadway is sometimes known as
an extension of Sixth Street, and which said point is 39 feet,
more or less, from the Northerly line of lands now or formerly
of E.A.Winning; thence running Southerly along the Westerly
line of said Road or Street, 81 feet, more or less, to the
Northerly line of Church Street; and thence Westerly along
said Northerly line of Church Street, 93 feet, more or less,
to the place of beginning.
PARCEL TWO
Beginning at a stake standing on the Northerly line of Church
Street at the Southeast corner of land conveyed by Mary C.
Knowles to Cynthia A. Knowles, and Ella K. Yocco by Deed
dated September 39, 1898 and recorded January 13, 1899, in
Book. 216 of Reeds, page 244, Santa Clara County Records;
Thence running Northerly and along the Easterly line of

said land so conveyed to Knowles 100 feet to a stake stand-
ing at the Southwesterly corner of land conveyed bE.T.
Winning to Donna X. Winning by Deed dated December 12, 19212
and recorded April 12, 19232 in Book 23 of Official Records
at page 101; thence running Easterly and along the Southerly
line of said land so conveyed to Donna M. Winning as aforesaid
50.0 feet more or less, to the Northniesterly corner of land
conveyed by Esther J. Winning to J. L. Ruhlen by deed dated
March 9, 1920, and recorded March 11, 1920' in Book 50'7 of
Deeds, page 265; thence running Southerly and along the Westerly
line of said land so conveyed to said R.uhlen 90 feet to a
point on the Northerly line of Church Street; thence running
Westerly and along.said Northerly line of Church Street 50
feet to the point of beginning.
PARCEL THREE
Commencing at An iron pipe found. 1 foot below the surface
of the ground at the point of the Northerly line of Church
Street with the Northeasterly line of the Road from Hill as
shown upon a map entitled, "Map of a Survey of the McMurtry
Property in the Town of Los Gatos', which said. Map is recorded
in Book "FO of Daps, page 19, Santa Clara County Records, and
running thence Easterly along said Northerly line of Church street
as it now (November 1948) exists the two following courses and
distances:-3.80® 261 E. 138.27 feet to a flush iron pipe
found and S.80° 18' E. 184.00 feet to an iron pipe set flush
at the true point of beginning of this description, said last
mentioned iron pipe being set in the line of an old fence leading
to the North, and running thence from said true point of beginning
along said line of old fence the seven following courses and
distances:- N. 19005'E.165.73 feet to an iron pipe N.20011E.
10.21 feet to an iron pipe, N.37043'W.62.16 feet to an iron pipe.
found, N.69°301E. 102.59 feet to an iron pipe, N.72°56'E.46.69 feet
to an iron pipe found, S.16037'W.73.64 feet to an iron pipe
found, and 3.69001'E.10.50 feet to a nail and tin set in the
top of a 4" x 6" corner fence post; thence along an intermittent
line of old fence, S.20°04'W.216.73 feet to an iron pipe set
flush in said Northerly line of Church Street at a point distant
thereon N.80018'W.50.00 feet from an iron pipe found at the
Southeasterly corner of lands now or formerly of Willa Y-.McNear;
and thence Westerly along said.Northerly line of Church Street,
N.80181N. ?2.68 feet to said true point of beginning, and
being.shown and delineated upon that certain map entitled,
"Map showing the Lands of Edward S. Yocco and Mary Y. .ugh as
now fenced in Los Gatos, California", which said map is recorded
.in book 21 of Maps, page 4, Santa Clara County Records.
and now shown as "R-1" residential district on said Sectional District
Map, and being Section 4.1 of said Ordinance No. 276, is and will be
an "R 2" residential district, instead of an "R 1" residential
district.
Section 2. This ordinance shall be published oitce in
a newspaper of general circulation,
printed and published in the Town of Los Gatos.
