AN ORDINANCE RESTRICTING THE PARKING OF AUTOIaIOBILES AND OTHER
VEHICLES UPON CERTAIN ST,HETS OF THE T0I,! OF LOS GATOS.
THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF LOS GATOS DOES ORDAIN
AS FOLLOTS
Section 1. The word, "vehicle", shall mean any cbvice in, upon
or by which any person or property is, or may be transported
upon a highway, except a device which is operated upon rails or
tracks.
-.,Section 2. No automobile or other vehicle shall be left standing
or parked on the folloz,Ting streets, or portions of streets at
any time
(a) Both sides of Elm Street from the Southern Pacific
Railroad tracks to North Santa Cruz Avenue; south side of Elm
Street from the Southern Pacific Railroad tracks to University
Avenue;
(b) East side of South Santa Cruz Avenue from West
Main Street to Wood Road;
(c) Both sides of Park Avenue; from Main Street to
Memorial Park entrance;
(d) East side of Fiesta Way;
(e) East side of Pageant Iaray;
(f) Both sides of Lundy Lane
(g) Both sides of College Avenue from East Main Street
to Villa Street;
(h) On the South side of Fairview Avenue between Manzanita
Avenue to the circle (Fairvie-w, Plaza) and none on the inner side
of the circular roadway of Fairview Plaza;
(i) Victory Lane on both sides between West Main Street
and Bachman Avenue.
(j) On the East side of University Avenue from West Main
Street for a distance thereon of fifty (50) feet; on the West

side of University Avenue from West Hain Street for a distance
thereon of twenty-five (25) feet;
(k) On the North side of Nicholson Avenue from North
Santa Cruz Avenue to Victory Lane.
Section 3, Any person violating any provision of this ordinance
shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon conviction thereof
shall be punishable by a fine not exceeding Five.Hundred Dollars
($500.00), or by imprisonment in the County jail of the,County of
Santa Clara, for a period not exceeding six (6) months, or by
;both such fine and imprisonment.
Section 4. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force
thirty (50) days from and after date of its passage and before
the expiration of fifteen (15) days after its passage it shall be
published once with the names of the members voting for and against
the same in the
a newspaper published
in the Town of Los Gatos.
Introduced at a regular meeting of the Town Council of
the Town of Los Gatos, State of California, held on the
day of 1948.
