The Town Council of the Town of Los Gatos conducted a Regular Meeting on
Monday, November 17, 2008 at 7:00 P.M.

Present: Mayor Barbara Spector, Vice Mayor Mike Wasserman, Council
Member Steve Glickman, Council Member Diane McNutt, and Council Member
Joe Pirzynski.
Absent: None.
PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE - LED BY FUTURE LEADER
Guilianne Pate, Danny Davis, Brandy Pech, Alyssa Micciche, 2008 Town of
Los Gatos Youth Citizens of the Year, led the Pledge of Allegiance. The
audience was invited to participate.
Mayor Barbara Spector announced that the Council meeting would be
adjourned in memory of former Council Member Pat O'Laughlin and requested
that Council and the community take part in a moment of silence in his memory.

Ratify payroll for the month of October 2008
2. Ratify accounts payable for the month of October 2008
3. Adopt ordinance of the Town of Los Gatos pursuant to California
Government Code Section 36510 delegating authority to appoint the
Town Clerk and Town Treasurer and amending the Town Code by
repealing sections 1.10.120 and 2.30.035 regarding the elected Town
Clerk and Town Treasurer and appointed Clerk Administrator.

4. Adopt resolution granting approval to amend an existing conditional
use permit to modify the hours of operation for an existing bocce ball
facility (Campo di Bocce) on property zoned Im. APN: 529-07-096;
conditional use permit application: u-08-008; property location: 565

LLC.; Applicant: Campo di Bocce/Tom Albanese

a. Adopt resolution declaring Casey Construction, Inc, to be the lowest
responsible bidder on the project and award a construction contract
in the amount of $65,842 RESOLUTION 2008-127
b. Authorize staff to execute future change orders to the construction
contract as necessary up to an amount of $5,000

Building Facility Project 821-2401 Adopt resolution authorizing the
Town Manager/Executive Director to execute a professional services
agreement with Harris & Associates to provide construction
management services in an amount not to exceed $191,556

MOTION: Motion by Council Member Steve Glickman to approve
Consent Items #1-9.
Seconded by Council Member Diane McNutt.
VOTE. Motion passed unanimously.
VERBAL COMMUNICATIONS
Mr. Davis
Commented against Nflr. Glickman`s political mailer that was sent to residents of
the Town.
Commented that the dirt area in front of Baggerly Field at Blossom Hill Park is an
attractive nuisance and requested that the Town pave the area for a parking lot.

APPOINTMENT OF MAYOR AND VICE MAYOR
MOTION: Motion by Mayor Barbara Spector to nominate Council
Member Mike Wasserman as Mayor of the Town of Los
Gatos.
Seconded by Council Member Diane McNutt:.
VOTE: Motion passed unanimously.

• Thanked Council and the community for the opportunity to serve as Mayor
for the next year.
• Thanked his wife and family for their continued support.
• Commented on the role of the General Plan and the community's
participation in the Town.
• Commented that the secret of Los Gatos is its citizens.
• Commented on moving forward with the Police Operations Building
construction and the Library design.
• Commented on a joint venture with Project Cornerstone to increase the
developmental assets of the youth in the community.

Appointment of Mayor and Vice Mayor - Continued
MOTION: Motion by Vice Mayor Mike Wasserman to nominate
Council Member Diane McNutt as Vice Mayor of the Town of
Los Gatos.
Seconded by Council Member Steve Glickman.
VOTE: Motion passed unanimously.
Vice Mayor Diane McNutt
• Thanked Council and the community for the opportunity to serve as Vice
Mayor.
• Commented that serving as Vice Mayor is an honor and a wonderful
opportunity to work with Mayor Wasserman as she admires his belief in
the community.
Mayor Mike Wasserman presented former Mayor Barbara Spector with the
commemorative gravel and commented on a tremendous year of leadership.

• Thanked the community and Town staff for an extraordinary year.
• Commented on her accomplishments during the past year as Mayor.
• Congratulated Mayor. Wasserman and Vice Mayor Diane McNutt on
their appointment.
Town staff presented Former Mayor Barbara Spector with a slide show
presentation showing her accomplishments during her year as Mayor.
Mayor Mike Wasserman introduced Steve Poisner, Insurance Commissioner
for the State of California.
Mr. Poisner
Commented on his history in the Town of Los Gatos and his job as
Insurance Commissioner for the State.
• Commented on his appreciation for local government.
Mr. Poisner led the swearing in of Mayor Mike Wasserman and Vice Mayor
Diane McNutt.
