RECOMMENDATION:
Nominate Vivian Wong, Assistant Engineer, as Representative and Trish Duarte, Senior Engineering Technician, as
Alternate to the Central and North Central Flood Control Zone Advisory Committees. The actual appointments are made
by the District Board of Directors.
Nominate Council Member Linda Lubeck as Representative and Vice Mayor Steve Blanton as Alternate (or the Council's
choice) to represent the Town on the Santa Clara Valley Water Commission. Town Council approved these
appointments on December 21, 1998.

FLOOD CONTROL ZONE ADVISORY COMMITTEE/STAFF APPOINTMENTS
Motion by Mr. Blanton, seconded by Mr. Attaway, to nominate Vivian Wong, Assistant Engineer,
as Representative and Trish Duarte, Senior Engineering Technician, as Alternate to the Central
and North Central Flood Control Zone Advisory Committees; and nominate Councilmember
Linda Lubeck as Representative and Vice Mayor Steve Blanton as Alternate to represent the
Town on the Santa Clara Valley Water Commission. Carried unanimously.
CABLE COMMUNICATIONS FRANCHISE MERGER/RESOLUTION 1999-10 (0$.44)
Motion by Mr. Blanton, seconded by Mr. Attaway, that Council adopt Resolution 1999-10
entitled, RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN OF LOS GATOS CONSENTING TO THE MERGER
OF TCI AND AT&T CORPORATION PURSUANT TO CODE OF THE TOWN OF LOS
GATOS SECTION 7.20.030, and increase revenue budget by $25,000. Carried unanimously.

Motion by Mr. Blanton, seconded by Mr. Attaway, that Council adopt Resolution 1999-11
entitled, RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN OF LOS GATOS AUTHORIZING TOWN MANAGER
TO EXECUTE PROGRAM SUPPLEMENT FOR PROJECT 9515 - FEDERAL PROJECT CML
5067(002) - RTSTSOP POST ROUTE 85 TRAFFIC SIGNAL COORDINATION RE -TIMING
PROJECT. Carried unanimously.
LA RINCONADA PARK PLAYGROUND/PROJECT 9933/RESOLUTION 1999-12 (10.35)
Motion by Mr. Blanton, seconded by Mr. Attaway, that Council adopt Resolution 1999-12
entitled, RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN OF LOS GATOS AUTHORIZING TOWN MANAGER
TO EXECUTE AN AGREEMENT WITH PLAYGROUNDS UNLIMITED INC. ON BEHALF
OF THE TOWN OF LOS GATOS, and award contract to Playgrounds Unlimited Inc. in the
amount of $72,440 and establish a contingency in the amount of $7,240. Carried unanimously.

entitled, RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN OF LOS GATOS AUTHORIZING CONTRACT WITH
MARK THOMAS AND COMPANY TO ASSIST COMPLETION OF PLANS. SPECIFICATIONS
AND ESTIMATES FOR PROJECT 9935 - SEISMIC RETROFIT TWO BRIDGE STRUCTURES,
LOS GATOS CREEK AT BLOSSOM HILL ROAD. BRIDGE #37C-0104. AND LOS GATOS
CREEK AT LARK AVENUE. BRIDGE #37C-0286, in the amount of $19,870. Carried
unanimously.

Motion by Mr. Blanton, seconded by Mr. Attaway, to establish a program budget of $224, 390
in the General Fund Appropriated Reserve (GFAR), increase the revenue for grants with federal
funding of $181,708 and state funding of $42,682 for a total of $224,390. Carried unanimously.
