I am unable to attend tonight but I would like to write in support of Item 12 giving the council the ability to establish a Town Flag Policy for Town Hall flag poles and Item 13 a resolution for the Town to raise the Progress Pride Flag during June 2026. Our town is long overdue to show its support for the very important raising of the Progressive Pride Flag. As you know 11 out of the 15 cities in the County do so leaving Los Gatos on the losing side of being included in the 4 that do not. Our town has many LGBTQ persons who should not feel left out of the community and need to feel seen and accepted. This is especially true for your youth who will only benefit from a community that not only acknowledges them but shows its pride in having them thrive in the community. Having a Progressive Pride Flag hung during Pride month is essential and sends a message of love and unity to those who may feel unseen or unloved. I hope you will take this opportunity to acknowledge the LGBTQ comminity in Los Gatos with this simple but necessary gesture. I fear that not doing so will send a message that breeds hate and exclusion to this community and leave an unwanted stain on Los Gatos as a whole. Lastly, I hope that this will be the year that my son and his husband will see their community and their love represented in this town that I have called home for the past 20 years. Thank you for your time and consideration. Kat Warm regards, Kat's Flower Affair KARI ANNE TREVINO (KAT) FLORAL DESIGN / OWNER DESIGNER LOS GATOS, CA
