ITEM NO.
COUNCIL AGENDA REPORT
DATE: July 17, 1996
TO: MAYOR AND TOWN COUNCIL
FROM: TOWN MANAGER
SUBJECT: ADOPT RESOLUTION ADOPTING REVISED NEIGHBORHOOD CENTER POLICIES
AND PROCEDURES
471
RECOMMENDATION:
Adopt resolution adopting revised Neighborhood Center Policies and Procedures.
BACKGROUND:
The Los Gatos Downtown Neighborhood Center is operated in conformance with Council approved Policies and
Procedures. Current policies were adopted through resolution 1992-42.
DISCUSSION:
The Policies and Procedures have been revised to:
1.) delete fee information because it is now contained in the Town's recently approved Fee Schedule; and,
2.) incorporate policies from the Neighborhood Center Guidelines written when the building was constructed.
Approval of the revised Policies and Procedures will reduce the guiding documents from three to two. The fee schedule,
reviewed annually, will be attached to the revised Policies for a comprehensive picture of facility use.
ENVIRONMENTAL ASSESSMENTS:
Adoption of the Neighborhood Center Policies and Procedures is not a project defined under CEQA, and no further
action is required.
FISCAL IMPACT:
Program revenues and expenses are included in the Council approved Operating Budget. Adopting the Neighborhood
Center Policies and Procedures has no additional fiscal impact.
