Main Street Los Gatos, CA 95030 ● (408) 354-6832 www.losgatosca.gov TOWN OF LOS GATOS COUNCIL AGENDA REPORT MEETING DATE: 12/09/2025 ITEM NO: 1 ADDENDUM DATE: December 9, 2025 TO: Mayor and Town Council FROM: Chris Constantin, Town Manager SUBJECT: Recognize Outgoing Mayor Matthew Hudes; and Elect a Mayor and Vice Mayor RECOMMENDATION: Recognize outgoing Mayor Matthew Hudes and elect a Mayor and Vice Mayor. DISCUSSION: Attachment 1 contains public comments received before 11:01 am on Monday, December 8, 2025. Attachment: 1. Public comment Attachment 1 From: Gus Who Sent: Monday, December 8, 2025 8:39 AM To: Clerk <Clerk@losgatosca.gov> Subject: Public Comment Item #1 for Special Meeting 12/9/25 [EXTERNAL SENDER] To whom it may concern, Given the geopolitical climate at this time, (civil War between the two parties) I urge for wisdom in choosing a Mayor and Vice Mayor. I believe the majority of the town people support.. no large buildings .. safety for school children.. lowering costs (water bills) .. etc … and I realize that it is common practice to put in the vice mayor, as this town policy is run by consensus of the five members, and a Mayor is just a chair job.. .. but strong leadership is needed at this time, and changes need to be made … with this said, and citing a recent article in the “WEEKLY TIMES” - Measure A funding rift could be on the Horizon, which I believe will be recalled, given a point I brought up concerning “95%” of people that need medical emergency go to County hospitals and not to the nearest hospital .. For these reasons .. I can not endorse the 3 members who voted against the Towns wishes on 151 E. Main .. that lead to protest after the fact.. … um .. and 2 members that are quoted in another article .. going door-to-door in support of Measure A .. using 95% .. um Well .. that only leaves 1 choice for Mayor .. um not sure how to say goodbye to this “cat in a hat town” .. umm .. Gus Who
