SUBJECT: Discussion of Potential Historic Preservation Topics to be Included in a Letter
to the Town Council Regarding Future Historic Preservation Committee
Workplan Items.
REMARKS:
At the request of the Chair, staff is forwarding a draft letter from the Committee to the Town
Council regarding the Committee’s potential future workplan for discussion. As commissions
and committees serve at the pleasure of the Council, their workplans are directed by the
Council. The goal of this discussion is to invite feedback from the Committee and determine
which topics have consensus support for inclusion in the final letter to the Town Council.
Attachment 1 includes the draft letter to the Town Council. Attachment 2 includes a letter from
the Chair to the Committee providing resources that will aid the preparation for the discussion.
Attachment 3 includes information from Commissioner Burnett related to a potential historic
district in the Glen Ridge area, a topic which is included in Attachment 1.
