B. CONSIDER INTRODUCTION OF ORDINANCE AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE
REGULATION OF TEMPORARY SIGNS FOR EVENTS AND AMENDING THE
SPECIAL EVENTS ORDINANCE FOR CONSISTENCY WITH THE ZONING
ORDINANCE AND TO PERMIT A REGULARLY SCHEDULED FARMERS MARKET.

RECOMMENDATION:
A. 1. Hold the public hearing for the Zoning Ordinance Amendment;
2. Close the public hearing for the Zoning Ordinance Amendment;
3. Find that the Zoning Ordinance Amendment is consistent with the General Plan and Downtown
Specific Plan;
4, Move to waive the reading (This requires unanimous vote of the Council members present);
5. Request that the Clerk read the title;
6. Move to introduce the Draft Ordinance.
B. 1. Move to waive the reading of the Special Events Ordinance; (This requires unanimous vote of
the Council members present);
2. Request that the Clerk read the title;
3. Move to introduce the Draft Ordinance.
BACKGROUND:
On June 10, 1992, the Planning Commission heard this matter and recommended that the Town Council
approve Zoning Ordinance Amendment A-92-5 to include a modification that would allow organizations in
the mountain areas to post banners in Town for functions that would be occurring outside the Town limits.
The Commission directed staff to modify the draft Ordinance accordingly.
