MEETING
RECOMMENDATION:
Amend Town Council Meeting Schedule for Fiscal Year 2001-2002 adding October 29, 2001 Joint
Town Council/Planning Commission meeting.
DISCUSSION:
As a result of the Council/Planning Commission retreat, staff was asked to schedule periodic joint
meetings between Council and the Commission to discuss issues of common interest. A specific
agenda will be developed in preparation for this meeting.
ENVIRONMENTAL ASSESSMENT:
Is not a project defined under CEQA, and no further action is required.
FISCAL IMPACT: None.

Motion by Mr. Glickman, seconded by Mr. Attaway, that Council approve the Joint Town
Council/Redevelopment Agency Minutes of September 17, 2001, as submitted. Carried unanimously.
CALLE MARGUERITA 300/PLANNED DEVELOPMENT (06.15)
Motion by Mr. Glickman, seconded by Mr. Attaway, that Council accept report in the form of
Planning Commission Minutes recommending denial of a Planned Development requesting a zone
change and schedule the zone change for a public hearing. Carried unanimously.
COMMISSION AND COMMITTEE APPLICATIONS/EXTENDED DEADLINE (08.12)
Motion by Mr. Glickman, seconded by Mr. Attaway, that Council direct Town Clerk to extend
deadline for Town Commission/Committee applications. Carried unanimously.
COUNCIL MEETING SCHEDULE/JOINT PLANNING COMMISSION MEETING (09.28)
Motion by Mr. Glickman, seconded by Mr. Attaway, that Council amend Town Council Meeting
Schedule for Fiscal Year 2001-2002, adding October 29, 2001 Joint Town Council/Planning
Commission Meeting. Carried unanimously.
STREET RESURFACING/SLURRY SEAL/PROJECT 0106/CHANGE ORDER (10.25)
Motion by Mr. Glickman, seconded by Mr. Attaway, to increase change order authority under the
construction contract by $29,000 ($229,000 total) for a total contract amount of $564,000. Carried
unanimously.
STREET RESURFACING/PAVEMENT OVERLAY/PROJECT 0106/RESO 2001-107& 8RD (11.25)
Motion by Mr. Glickman, seconded by Mr. Attaway, that Council adopt Resolutions 2000-107 & 8RD
entitled, RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN COUNCIL/REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY OF THE
TOWN OF LOS GATOS AWARDING A CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT FOR PROJECT 0106
(PHASE 3) OF 2001 PAVEMENT OVERLAY PROGRAM, declaring Granite Construction
Company of Watsonville to be the lowest responsible bidder on the project and awarding a construction
contract in the amount of $3,834,485.25, and authorizing the staff to issue change orders to the
construction contract up to an amount of $203,315.00. Carried unanimously.
SKATE PARK/FEASIBILITY/INDIGO-HAMMOND & PLAYLE/RESOLUTION 2001-108 (12.33)
Motion by Mr. Glickman, seconded by Mr. Attaway, that Council adopt Resolution 2000-108 entitled,
RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN OF LOS GATOS AUTHORIZING THE TOWN MANAGER
TO EXECUTE AN AMENDMENT TO THE AGREEMENT WITH INDIGO/HAMMOND &
PLAYLE ARCHITECTS TO PROVIDE A FEASIBILITY STUDY FOR A SKATEPARK IN
THE TOWN OF LOS GATOS, VASONA PARK. Carried unanimously.
ANNEXATION/SHANNON ROAD #23/DEERPARK RD 17203/RESOLUTION 2001-109 (13.14)
Motion by Mr. Glickman, seconded by Mr. Attaway, that Council adopt Resolution 2000-109 entitled,
RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN OF LOS GATOS ORDERING THE REORGANIZATION OF
CERTAIN UNINHABITED TERRITORY DESIGNATED AS SHANNON ROAD #23 TO THE
TOWN OF LOS GATOS. Carried unanimously.
