Minutes of the Town Council Special Meeting – Closed Session
Tuesday, June 18, 2024
The Town Council of the Town of Los Gatos conducted a Special Meeting in-person and utilizing
teleconferencing means on Tuesday, June 18, 2024, at 5:15 p.m. to hold a Closed Session to
discuss property negotiations and labor negotiations.
MEETING CALLED TO ORDER AT 5:16 P.M.
ROLL CALL
Present: Mayor Mary Badame, Vice Mayor Matthew Hudes, Council Member Rob Moore,
Council Member Rob Rennie, and Council Member Maria Ristow.
Absent: None
VERBAL COMMUNICATIONS (ONLY ON ITEMS ON THE AGENDA)
Nancy Rollett
- Commented on the 55+ program, requested the reinstatement of the Senior
Coordinator position, suggested modifying the list of 55+ services in the lease, and
spoke about co-sharing the costs of parking spaces on the north side of the building.
Greg Acker, President of the Homeowners Association for Forbes Mill
- Commented on possible uses for the Forbes Mill property.
THE TOWN MOVED TO CLOSED SESSION ON THE FOLLOWING ITEM:
1. CONFERENCE WITH REAL PROPERTY NEGOTIATORS (Government Code Section 54956.8)
Property: 75 Church Street (Forbes Mill) and 4 Tait Avenue (Firehouse)
Agency negotiator: Laurel Prevetti, Town Manager
Negotiating parties: Town of Los Gatos
Under negotiation: Terms of purchase, sale, exchange, or lease
2. CONFERENCE WITH REAL PROPERTY NEGOTIATORS (Government Code Section 54956.8)
Property: 108 E Main Street (Adult Recreation Center)
Agency negotiator: Laurel Prevetti, Town Manager
Negotiating parties: Town of Los Gatos and Los Gatos-Saratoga Recreation
Under negotiation: Terms of purchase, sale, exchange, or lease
3. CONFERENCE WITH LABOR NEGOTIATORS (Government Code Section 54957.6)
To meet with Town Negotiators listed below in closed session pursuant to Government
Code §54957.6 regarding negotiations with the Employee Organizations listed below:
Town Negotiator: Katy Nomura, Assistant Town Manager
Employee Organization: Town Employees Association (TEA)

The Town Council reconvened in open session. The Town Attorney stated the Town Council
discussed real property negotiations pursuant to Government Code Section 54956.8 and labor
negotiations pursuant to Government Code 54957.6 and there was no reportable action.
