The existing siding has no waterproofing underlayment per code and
modem bu=ding p「actice. The existing wa= cavities have no insulation.
Once lnsuiation is insta=ed, anyWate「 intrusion w帥be difficuitto dry
out and detrimental tothe buiIding health. We wouId liketo remove
the existing siding. Apply underlayment per code. Then appIy plywood
Shear/sheathing, then insta= new redwood o「 cedar siding. The
integrity ofthe existing siding wiil be compromised thru the removaI
PrOCeSS and be rendered unusabIe.
The new siding wi= be custom m川ed to match exactIythe dimension,
face exposu「e and profile ofthe existing siding. We are aIready in the
process ofthis fo「the new siding being appIied tothe building addition.
