Staff will consider these questions and share them with the consultant team. 1. Concerned about plastic waste that could last 1000 years going into landfills. Unless old artificial turf can be recycled, I would like to see it used as long as possible. 2. Interested in having an analysis of different fillers that can be used to address concerns about the health effects of the filler. 3. Interested in having a water analysis included as part of the comparison. What would be the amount of water used? During a drought, what percentage of the required water savings does the field represent? Would we consider watering this field less during a drought? If it is high usage, would we cut back on use? How will that work for the league use? 4. How much cost and work would it take to keep a heavily used field from degrading into poor condition for sports use? During the rainy season many fields and pick up locations are closed after a rain to prevent field degradation. Would we do this and how will it affect the athletic uses? 5. If the analysis points to a grass turf, please ensure the analysis considers use levels and the ability to meet maintenance requirements. Attachment Previously Received with the Staff Report: 1.
