SUBJECT: Authorize the Town Manager to Execute an Agreement with Peckham &
McKenney for Town Manager Recruitment Services in an Amount not to
Exceed $32,000
RECOMMENDATION:
Authorize the Town Manager to execute an agreement with Peckham & McKenney for Town
Manager recruitment services in an Amount not to Exceed $32,000.
REMARKS:
An ad hoc committee of the Town Council, composed of the Mayor and Vice Mayor, has
evaluated three qualified firms and their proposals for executive search services to recruit a
new Town Manager. The ad hoc committee interviewed the firms. The commitee considered a
variety of factors including cost, timeliness, experience, and other considerations. Based on the
evaluation, interviews, and reference checks, the committee recommends that the Town
Council retain Peckham & McKenney for the Town Manager recruitment.
COORDINATION:
The preparation of this report has been coordinated with the Town Attorney and Finance
Director.
FISCAL IMPACT:
The Adopted and Adjusted Fiscal Year 2023/24 Operating Budget has funds to cover this
agreement.
ENVIRONMENTAL ASSESSMENT:
This is not a project defined under CEQA, and no further action is required.
