Required Findings This Page Intentionally Left Blank GENERAL PLAN COMMITTEE – June 26, 2024 REQUIRED FINDINGS 220 Belgatos Road Subdivision Application M-24-011 General Plan Amendment Application GP-24-002 Requesting Approval for Subdivision of One Lot into Two Lots and a General Plan Amendment to Change the Land Use Designation of Parcel A from Public to Low Density Residential on Property Zoned R-1:10. FINDINGS: Required finding for CEQA:  That there is no possibility that this project will have a significant impact on the environment; therefore, the project is not subject to the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA), Section 15061 (b)(3), because changing the General Plan land use designation of Parcel A from Public to Low Density Residential will not have a significant impact on the environment in and of itself. In the event that the Town receives a planning application for redevelopment of this site, the planning application will undergo CEQA review at that time. Required consistency with the Town’s General Plan:  The proposed General Plan amendment for Parcel A is in the public interest, in that it is consistent with adjacent General Plan land use designations [Gov. Code Section 65358(a)].  The proposed General Plan amendment to change the land use designation for Parcel A is internally consistent with the remainder of the General Plan and consistent with the Zoning Code and other land use regulations, in that the proposal is consistent with the pattern of development and that the land use will support the character of the Town (Gov. Code Section 65300.5).  The proposed General Plan amendment has been evaluated in accordance with the California Environmental Quality Act.
