Minutes of the Town Council Special Meeting – Closed Session
Tuesday, January 16, 2024
The Town Council of the Town of Los Gatos conducted a Special Meeting in-person and utilizing
teleconferencing means on Tuesday, January 16, 2024, at 5:15 p.m. to hold a Closed Session to
discuss anticipated litigation and real property negotiations.
MEETING CALLED TO ORDER AT 5:16 P.M.
ROLL CALL
Present: Mayor Mary Badame, Vice Mayor Matthew Hudes, Council Member Rob Moore,
Council Member Rob Rennie, and Council Member Maria Ristow.
Absent: None
VERBAL COMMUNICATIONS (ONLY ON ITEMS ON THE AGENDA)
Jim Foley
- Explained the challenging office market, identified potential tenants for the Forbes Mill and
Tait properties, and requested an extension to secure tenants.
THE TOWN MOVED TO CLOSED SESSION ON THE FOLLOWING ITEM:
1. CONFERENCE WITH LEGAL COUNSEL – ANTICIPATED LITIGATION – Significant exposure to
litigation pursuant to Government Code Section 54956.9(e)(1): 1 case. (E-mail from Ben
Eilenberg threatening litigation is available in the Town Attorney’s office.)
2. CONFERENCE WITH LEGAL COUNSEL – ANTICIPATED LITIGATION – Significant exposure to
litigation pursuant to Government Code Section 54956.9(e)(1): 1 case.
3. CONFERENCE WITH REAL PROPERTY NEGOTIATORS (Government Code Section 54956.8)
a. Property: 4 Tait Avenue

reportable action.
