ASAP Town Council Members County Supervisor State Legislators The Town of Los Gatos has a height limit of 45' for this zone. The developer's proposal for this building includes a 73' height plus higher density than the 20 units per acre with more housing units and mass than in our current and proposed New Housing Element for this site. This proposed building plan provides for 72 new housing units but should also include a minimum 20% below Market Rate units. BUT IT DOES NOT. This proposal does not provide for adequate parking for their resi- dents, local businesses, visitors, shoppers, deliveries, etc. In fact, it reduces parking for the surrounding businesses. Don't sit on the sidelines and complain!! Only YOU can reverse the trend!!! Other decisions like these, if not challenged, will certainly change the charming character of our Town and dangerously set a precedent for any future developments. Don't sit on the sidelines and complain. The Town of Los Gatos has a height limit of 45' in both development sites. However, without consideration for infrastructure needs, parking, traffic impact throughout Los Gatos, changes to our building and neighborhood aesthetics, and sense of community will be felt through all of our Town. This proposed building plan for the PO site provides for 72 new housing units but should also include a minimum 20% below Market Rate units. BUT IT DOES NOT. The N40 site proposals thru SB 330 ignores height, design, and aesthetics as well. If you are concerned about parking downtown, access to businesses, esthetics of our north and south town entrances, the breaching of our Town's current and proposed design elements, of height and density limits, as well as the significant traffic impact, including increases on and off HWY 17 and 85, as well as LG Blvd and N Santa Cruz Ave., please contact your neighbors and elected officials ASAP. Unless a final plan is submitted and approved by January 31, 2024 the state will take over the housing approval for Los Gatos allowing for State mandated "Builder's Remedy" that supersedes local control.
