SUBJECT: Adopt a Resolution to Seek Membership in the American Association of
Retired People (AARP) Network of Age-Friendly Communities
REMARKS:
Since the distribution of the staff report, staff has been in communication with AARP. Town
staff learned that a jurisdiction does not need to be a member of the Age-Friendly Network to
apply for financial assistance. Membership provides access to technical assistance and
expertise. The Draft Revised Resolution in Attachment 2 contains this correction and should be
the Resolution that Council considers with this agenda item.
