Subject: Garden design suggestion for East Los Gatos Community Garden
[EXTERNAL SENDER]
Good afternoon Council members,
I read the call for garden designs in the East LG Community Garden. I'm responding with the following
suggestion:
Engage the LG Arts and Culture Commission, the Parks Commission and the local Ohlone communities and to develop a plan to plant a native garden and include informational signage to educate and inspire
residents and visitors about the garden and its local flora and fauna inhabitants.
Going forward, when public land parcels become available (big or small, criteria tbd) for an upgrade/replanting, commit to redeveloping the space with native plants and include appropriate
informational/educational signage per above.
Ultimately, it would be great to create a digital map identifying the various native public gardens and spaces to support self guided tours.
Anyway, just an idea!
Sincerely,
Maureen Cappon-Javey
P.S. I am a member of the ACC (Arts and Culture Commission). On behalf of the commission I'd like to
suggest that the ACC play a role in working with the creative community to develop the signage in a creative and art-forward approach to the project as a whole.

Subject: In support of Pinehurst Garden and Lynn Ave walkway
[EXTERNAL SENDER]
Hi, I am a resident of Los Gatos and my daughter Anjali is on the LG Youth Commission. We live on
Blossom Valley Drive and have been following the developments of the Pinehurst Garden and Lynn Ave
walkway with interest. This email is simply to let you know how much our neighborhood supports this
project and to urge you to support this project which will help pedestrian safety, encourage
environmental stewardship and promote walking and gardening in our community.
Thank you!
Claire
