To Whom It May Concern:
I am writing to express my support of the Los Gatos Town Council creating an ordinance that
would prohibit concealed firearms in many "sensitive" places. I work for Jewish Family
Services of Silicon Valley located at the Jewish Community Center (JCC) in Los Gatos. As a
Jewish social services agency providing services to the community, including newly arrived
refugees from Afghanistan and Ukraine, we often have concerns about the safety of our staff
and clients. The increasing rise in antisemitism and hate toward refugees add to our
concerns. An ordinance prohibiting concealed firearms at many places, including the JCC,
would be a welcome step toward ensuring the safety of the hundreds of people who visit,
work and study, learn and play at the JCC daily.
