Hello,
I am writing in support of Item 17, to rescind the censure against Kylie Clark, Planning
Commissioner for Los Gatos who was unfairly censured for accurately noting that race andsocioeconomic inequality exists, and presents an impediment to solving our housing
affordability crisis.
Los Gatos is a mostly white community, where--just like elsewhere in the Bay Area--neighbors organize to oppose housing projects that they perceive to be detrimental to their
neighborhoods. We uplift and respect these voices, while ignoring those who actually needhomes. Kylie spoke up for justice and deserves to be celebrated, not punished and silenced of
her first amendment rights. Please rescind the censure.
