Over 5,500 vehicles per day. 2 Project History 2020 – Town contracted ActiveWayz to support develop project design 2021, August – Concepts 1 and 2 presented to Complete Streets and Transportation Commission (August 12) and at Neighborhood Meeting 1 (August 25) 2021, September - Concept 3 presented to Complete Streets and Transportation Commission (September 9) and at Neighborhood Meeting 2 (September 29) 2021, October - Town Council adopted Concept 3 as preferred without use of green bollards 2021, November – Neighborhood Meeting 3 is held 2022, January – Neighborhood Meeting 4 is held 2022, 2023 – Staff works with Activewayz to complete construction plans for Concept 3 3 Shannon Road between Los Gatos Boulevard and Cherry Blossom Lane.  Neighborhood collector and popular route to schools. Over 5,500 vehicles per day. 3 Current Design Elements & Responses to Comments NO bollards are proposed Bids will include up to 14 new trees within the project limit – locations and species will be determined with residents during construction (11 trees will be removed for construction)  Work will be coordinated with development at 16212 Los Gatos Boulevard Commercial development at 16212 Los Gatos Boulevard proposes removal of the “pork chop” free right turn Parking is provided for up to 10 vehicles along the south side of Shannon Road Speed humps are proposed in 2 locations Grant funding of $1,114,350 has been secured.  One grant must be obligated by January 2024; another must be used by June 2023, and extensions are possible. 4 Shannon Road between Los Gatos Boulevard and Cherry Blossom Lane.  Neighborhood collector and popular route to schools. Approve the Plans and Specifications; b. Authorize Advertising the Project for Bid Contingent on Receiving Caltrans Authorization; c. Authorize the Town Manager to Execute the Second Amendment to the Consulting Services Agreement with ActiveWayz Engineering for Additional Engineering Services During Bid, Award, and Construction in an Amount of $25,238, Resulting in a Total Agreement Amount Not to Exceed $196,709; d. Authorize an Expenditure Budget Transfer in an Amount of $133,380 from available Traffic Mitigation Funds; e. Authorize an Expenditure Budget Transfer in an Amount of $200,000 from Available Funds in Fund 461 CIP #816-0420 (Stormwater Basin 1); f. Authorize an Expenditure Budget Transfer in an Amount of $60,000 from Available Funds in CIP #813-0221 (Sidewalk Improvements); g. Authorize an Expenditure Budget Transfer in an Amount of $231,524 from Available Funds in CIP #813-0231 (Bicycle & Pedestrian Improvements); and h.
