I believe that the Arts and Culture Comrri�ssion should become more visible and more publicized. I did attend the most recent town council meeting regarding all the commissions. That is when I .decided I wanted to be a commissioner. What do you see as the role of this Commission? To promote, preserve, and protect the Arts. As a commiss{oner I would put the townspeople's interests and the Commission ahead of my own personal interests, regarding Art. 3of6 What has been your experience or involvement with non-profit agencies? As a teacher for the Alternative Schools Department, Santa Clara County I have worked with many non-profit groups throughout my more than 40 year career. I have written and been awarded grants that have enhanced my classroom. What has been your experience or involvement with grant programs? I was a teacher at one of our Grant Programs that was a collaboration between the County schools Dept. and the Military called Alternative Placement Academy. The grant was for three years and I continued �eaching there for several more years. In the early 90's I was awarded a grant for 5 computers for my community schools classroom, Santa Clara County. This was the first exposure to computers our youth had.
