APPLICANT REQUEST RECOMMENDATION
6816 15990 Stephanie Lane Bettner Special Permit - Time Ext Approval/one condition
Building Site Approval
On December 15, 1997, Town Council considered this application and forwarded a recommendation for denial since at that
time, new secondary dwelling units were not permitted. The County approved the application. Subsequent to Town Council
action, the Town Code was amended to permit persons to draw from a pool of secondary dwelling units which have been
recently approved for demolition subject to various requirements. This application meets all those requirements. The
applicant is requesting a time extension and building site approval to construct an approximately 700 square foot secondary
dwelling unit attached to an existing residence on a 23,264 square foot parcel prezoned R-1:8. The addition meets all
setbacks requirements and there is ample parking on site to accommodate the new secondary dwelling unit.
Therefore, a recommendation for approval should be forwarded to the County subject to the condition that the maximum
height of the house shall not exceed 30 above existing or finished grade, whichever has the lower profile.
