APPLICANT REQUEST RECOMMENDATION
4720 16830 Sheldon Road Crafford Design Review Approval/one condition
The applicant is requesting approval to demolish 442 square feet and to add 1,264 square feet to an existing two story
residence for a total of 3,829 square feet on a 11.6 acre parcel located outside the Town's Urban Service Area boundary but
within the Town's Sphere of Influence. The addition will meet all setback and height requirements. The applicant is also
proposing to demolish a 656 square foot detached garage and to construct a 1,200 square foot detached garage. The garage
meets all setback requirements. The proposed height of the garage is 18 feet six inches above finished grade. The maximum
height permitted by Town Code is 15 feet above natural or finished grade, whichever has the lower profile. Therefore a
recommendation for approval should be forwarded to the County subject to the condition that the maximum height of the
detached garage shall not exceed 15 feet above natural or finished grade, whichever has the lower profile.

TOWN COUNCIL
The Town Council/Parking Authority/Redevelopment Agency of the Town of Los Gatos met in the
Council Chambers of the Town Hall, 110 East Main Street, at 7:40 p.m., Monday, May 1, 2000, in joint
regular session.
ROLL CALL
Present: Randy Attaway, Jan Hutchins, Linda Lubeck,
Joe Pirzynski and Mayor/Chairman Steve Blanton.
Absent: None.
PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE
Given by all in attendance.
CLOSED SESSION
Town Attorney, Orry Korb, reported that Council had met in Closed Session prior to this evening's
meeting pursuant to Government Code Section 54956.9(a) to discuss Existing Litigation. York vs.
Town of Los Gatos; Workers Compensation claims Nos. SJO 215239, 215240, 215242. There was
no reportable action taken.
Pursuant to Government Code Section 54956.9(b) to discuss Anticipated Litigation, regarding
significant exposure to litigation concerning a contemporaneous record made available for public
inspection pursuant to Section 54957.5. There was no reportable action taken.
APPOINTMENTS/PLANNING COMMISSION (00.20)
Council Consensus to continue the appointments to the Planning Commission until after the
Council/Planning Commission Joint Meeting to be held May 31, 2000.
PRESENTATION/ARTS COMMISSION/AMIE GILLCRIST (XX.20)
Mayor Blanton noted that the Town had a Commendation to present to Amie Gillcrist for her years of
service on the Arts Commission and noted that she will receive her commendation at a latter date.
SCHEDULE OF PUBLIC HEARINGS (01.01)
Informational report regarding currently scheduled public hearings was received and filed.
