Grading/Building Site/Design Review
RECOMMENDATION:
Forward a recommendation of approval subject to three conditions.
REMARKS
The applicant is requesting approval of a grading permit, building site and design review to demolish a portion of a single family
residence and to convert the remaining residence into a pool house and to construct a new two story single family residence on
property prezoned RC. The residence will contain a total of 7,762 square feet with a 1,015 square foot attached garage on a 11.7
acre parcel. The maximum building height is shown to be 31 feet six inches. A recommendation will be that the maximum
height not exceed 30 feet above existing grade. All setbacks will be met. A recommendation for approval should be forwarded
to the County subject to the following conditions:
1. The maximum height of the residence shall not exceed 30 feet above existing grade.
2. The exterior color of the residence shall not exceed a light reflectivity value of 30.
3. The existing house that is proposed to be converted to a pool house shall have the kitchen removed.

The Town Council/Parking Authority/Redevelopment Agency of the Town of Los Gatos met
in the Council Chambers of the Town Hall, 110 East Main Street, at 7:39 p.m., Monday,
December 1, 1997, in joint regular session.
ROLL CALL
Present: Randy Attaway, Joanne Benjamin, Steven Blanton
Jan Hutchins and Mayor/Chairman Linda Lubeck.
Absent: None.
PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE
Given by all in attendance.
CLOSED SESSION
Town Attorney, Orry Korb, announced that prior to this evening's meeting, Council had met
in Closed Session pursuant to Government Code Section 54956.9(a) (Pending Litigation) to
discuss Matthew Frisby v. Town of Los Gatos, Workers Compensation Appeals Board, Case
SJO 0191310. Council gave direction this issue, but no action was taken.
Pursuant to Government Code Section 54957, Personnel Issue, to discuss Town Attorney
Evaluation. No action was taken.
SCHEDULE OF PUBLIC HEARINGS (01.01)
Informational report regarding currently scheduled public hearings was received and filed.
COUNTY REFERRALS (02.47)
Motion by Mr. Blanton, seconded by Mrs. Benjamin, that Council approve the recommended
action concerning County Referrals:

PAYROLL RATIFICATION/OCTOBER-NOVEMBER 1997 (04.V)
Motion by Mr. Blanton, seconded by Mrs. Benjamin that Council ratify the check register for
the payroll of October 19, 1997 through November 1, 1997, paid on November 7, 1997, in the
amount of $329,267.76. Carried unanimously.
ACCOUNTS PAYABLE/RATIFICATION/NOVEMBER 1997 (05.V)
Motion by Mr. Blanton, seconded by Mrs. Benjamin, that Council ratify the accompanying
check registers for accounts payable invoices paid on November 14 and November 21, 1997 in
the amount of $905,407.30. Carried unanimously.
