EXECUTE AN AGREEMENT WITH EITHER AMERICAN INSTITUTES FOR
RESEARCH OR GODBE RESEARCH AND ANALYSIS FOR CONSULTING
SERVICES TO PREPARE A SCIENTIFICALLY BASED COMMUNITY SURVEY
B. CONSIDER AUTHORIZING INCREASE IN PLANNING DEPARTMENT BUDGET
(ACCOUNT 3150-61753) FROM GENERAL PLAN UPDATE DEPOSIT ACCOUNT

RECOMMENDATION:
a. Consider adopting resolution authorizing Town Manager to execute an agreement with either American
Institutes for Research or Godbe Research and Analysis for consulting services to prepare a scientifically based
community survey
b. Consider authorizing increase in Planning Department budget (Account 3150-61753) from General Plan Update
Deposit Account (100-26751)
BACKGROUND:
Council continued this item from the August 3, 1998 meeting. Council Member Benjamin had requested the continuance
in order to further review the consultant's submittals. Staff has forwarded all material that has been presented to Council
on this matter. If any Council Member needs copies of any material, please advise staff prior to Wednesday's meeting.
At Council Member Hutchin's request, we are also forwarding a verbatim transcript and a tape of the August 3 hearing
on this matter.
