ACCEPT DONATION OF $2,500 FROM GREEN VALLEY DISPOSAL
COMPANY TO THE TOWN, FOR THE JULY 4 EVENT
RECOMMENDATION:
1. Accept donation of $2,500 from Green Valley Disposal Company to the Town, for the July
4 event.
2. Authorize budget adjustment in the amount of $2,500 to the FY 2001/02 Budget, Program
8070, "Arts."
BACKGROUND:
Green Valley Disposal Company, the local solid waste management company, would like to make
a donation to the Town, for entertainment expenses related to the Town's 2002 July 4 event. Green
Valley made the same donation to the 2001 July 4 event.
DISCUSSION:
Costs for hiring the Plain James Band, a major portion of the July 4 event entertainment, total
$2,500. Green Valley's donation would be used to fund the entire expense.
ENVIRONMENTAL ASSESSMENT:
The recommended actions are not projects defined under CEQA, and no further action is required.
FISCAL IMPACT:
The 2002 July 4 event is budgeted in Program 8070, "Arts." We propose that the budget for revenue
