Public Comments received by 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, January 13, 2021 This Page Intentionally Left Blank From: The Lepolds Sent: Tuesday, January 12, 2021 3:19 PM To: Planning Comment <PlanningComment@losgatosca.gov> Subject: proposed development at 16203 Los Gatos Blvd We are neighbors that live near this proposed development and we have some concerns regarding these plans. 1. This development is proposed for a busy intersection of Los Gatos Blvd. and adds to the already heavy traffic from Fisher Middle School and Van Meter Elementary School along with other housing developments in the area which make getting in and out of the neighborhood difficult. Previously, the proposal for a development across the street at the Artisan Wine Depot was rejected by the planning commission bec ause of the traffic impact to the intersection. 2. Of the two alternatives proposed, we think that the commercial development will have less impact on the area as long as there is sufficient parking included so that parked vehicles do not overflow into the surrounding neighborhood. 3. Selecting the mixed use alternative with its high density housing would result in overcrowding the nearby schools in addition to the impact likely from the North Forty development. 4. The tall structures proposed for the mixed use alternative are inconsistent with the rest of the neighborhood. Thank you for the opportunity to provide this input. As long time residents, we are concerned about preserving the character of our neighborhood and the great quality of life in Los Gatos.
