Please, consider the safety of our students, & do not approve an Investor's request to demolish an existing slngle--famlly home at 16940 Roberts Road to build a triplex: limiting the site line at the corner of Roberts Rd., & Fisher. The city of Los Gatos could not prevent the death of a young s1udent, s1ruck in the blind spot heading the intersection of Blossom Hill Road & Roberts Rd., leading to Fisher Middle School, but you can prevent another death, or injury to students who walk to schools. The city would endanger the life of young children by cutting the srte lines at this corner property, all in exchange for profit, not even for the well-being of a new resident to address. The property is only zoned RM 5-12, suggesting the investor is asking for a variance. Variances for residents, especially elderly, or those attempting to make it possible to continue to live in Los Gatos are different than investor hoping to maximize profits, without regard for the families living in the remaining oasis of single family homes build on properties between 1 /4 & 1 /3 acre. The Development Advisory Committee la were inappropriate development plans need to be addressed, as we recently learned Investors wlll go to court at a later date, clalmlng a substantlal Investment was made after the city had initially agreed to a proposal. Remember, Keith Holland released a letter to our weekly newspaper thanking the Los Gatos Building Department, when it was not possible to provide safe egress in case of fire. Residents wish to continue to live in a neighborhood near to our schools, among the small oasis of single family homes with 1 /4 to 1fJ acre of land. We have mixed densities, but there are no triplex homes, at leas1 none visible to Roberts Road. People who live on Roberts Road have already lived through construction of the Van Meter addition and the new Fisher Middle School, welcome improvements to our community. Permission was already provided for 16940 Roberts Road to couple the size of the existing home: The Conceptual Development Advisory Committee has already decided, the change completed In 2006. ~~ Elyse Musen, R.N. cc: Los Gatos Building Department ATIACHMENT 8
