Exterior Modification Outside of a Historic District; APN 410-17-053
Please accept our request to be placed on the HPC meeting agenda for December 16, 2020. We are
requesting an exterior modification outside of a historic district of a pre-1941 building at 435 San Benito
Avenue. The site is zoned R-1D and the building is currently used as a single-family residence.
The building is a one story 1920’s Craftsman style with horizontal wood siding, wood trim and hipped
gable roofs. The roof covering is asphalt shingle. All materials and roof shape and pitch are proposed to
match existing.
The building has no historical significance or architectural merit for these reasons:
1.The structure is not associated with events that have made a significant contribution to the Town;
2.No significant persons are associated with the site;
3.There are no distinctive characteristics of type, period or method of construction or representation
of work by a master;
4.The structure does not yield information to Town history
