Attachment 1 - Letter of JustificationNov 30, 2020 136 Wheeler Av REQUEST TO REMOVE FROM HISTORIC INVENTORY To Members of the HPC: WE ARE REQUESTING REMOVAL OF THIS STRUCTURE PER THE FOLLOWING JUSTIFICATION. THIS HOME HAS ALREADY BEEN DEMOLISHED PER TOWN STANDARDS − The front of the home suffers from poorly articulated 2nd story. Ref photo 1 − The home suffers from multiple unpermitted and unseemly additions and alterations. Ref all photos − The front porch is failing structurally, and when added/repaired, it was not integrated properly onto the house, its siding does not match house – it appears to be vertical grooved plywood. Ref photo 2 − Vinyl windows have been added and have replaced wood windows throughout. The entry door is of improper and poor design. Ref photo 3 − The structure suffers from substandard, unpermitted additions. The floors are out of level by 2 to 3 inches, the ceilings are of substandard heights, walls are not built structurally adequate, the heating systems are antiquated unsafe gas or electric wall units – there is no duct work or way to install duct work.
