Main Street Los Gatos, CA 95030 ● 408-354-6874 www.losgatosca.gov TOWN OF LOS GATOS HISTORIC PRESERVATION COMMITTEE REPORT MEETING DATE: 05/27/2020 ITEM NO: 1 DRAFT MINUTES OF THE HISTORIC PRESERVATION COMMITTEE MEETING FEBRUARY 26, 2020 The Historic Preservation Committee of the Town of Los Gatos conducted a Regular Meeting on February 26, 2020, at 4:00 p.m. ROLL CALL Present: Chair Robert Cowan, Vice Chair Steve Raspe, Planning Commissioner Mary Badame, Planning Commissioner Matthew Hudes, Committee Member Nancy Derham MEETING CALLED TO ORDER AT 4:00 PM VERBAL COMMUNICATIONS None. CONSENT ITEMS (TO BE ACTED UPON BY A SINGLE MOTION) 1. Approval of Minutes – January 22, 2020 MOTION: Motion by Planning Commissioner Matthew Hudes to approve the consent calendar. Seconded by Planning Commissioner Mary Badame. VOTE: Motion passed unanimously, 4-0. PUBLIC HEARINGS 2. 251 Littlefield Lane Historic Resources Inventory Removal Requesting approval to remove a pre-1941 property from the Historic Resources Inventory on property zoned R-1:10. APN 532-08-060. PROPERTY OWNER: Smith T D R Separate Prop Trust APPLICANT: Kathleen Williams PROJECT PLANNER: Sean Mullin Sean Mullin, Associate Planner, presented the staff report. MOTION: Motion by Planning Commissioner Matthew to recommend for approval of the design as proposed without removing the relocated pre-1941 property from the Historic Resources Inventory, and exempting the additions and the wall containing the front door from the definition of demolition in that they are not likely original to the residence. Seconded by Planning Commissioner Mary Badame. VOTE: Motion passed unanimously, 4-0. 3. 15946 Cerro Vista Drive Requesting approval to remove a pre-1941 property from the Historic Resources Inventory on property zoned HR-1. APN 537-26-026. PROPERTY OWNER: Wendell G and Katherine H Ross Trustee APPLICANT: Shannon Rose PROJECT PLANNER: Sean Mullin Sean Mullin, Associate Planner, presented the staff report. Applicant presented the proposed project. Opened and Closed the Public Comment. Committee members discussed the matter. MOTION: Motion by Planning Commissioner Matthew Hudes approved the removal of the pre-1941 property from the Historic Resources Inventory. Seconded by Vice Chair Steve Raspe. VOTE: Motion passed unanimously, 3-0-1. Committee Member Nancy Derham recused. 4. 253 W. Main Street Addendum Requesting a determination regarding the contributing status of an existing single-family residence located in the Broadway Historic District on property zoned R-1D:LHP. APN 510-45-006. MOTION: Motion by Planning Commissioner Matthew Hudes to make the determination that the structure is not historically or architecturally significant, with the required findings, including that the integrity has been compromised through alterations over time.
