SUMMARY MINUTES OF REGULAR MEETING OF THE HISTORIC PRESERVATION
COMMITTEE OF THE TOWN OF LOS GATOS FOR JUNE 22, 2016 HELD IN THE
TOWN COUNCIL CHAMBERS, 110 E MAIN STREET, LOS GATOS, CALIFORNIA.

The meeting was called to order at 4:02 P.M. by Chair Bob Cowan.
ATTENDANCE
Members Present: Bob Cowan, Kathryn Janoff, Michael Kane,
Members Absent: Len Pacheco, Tom O’Donnell
Staff Present: Sally Zarnowitz, Planning Manager
Marni Moseley, Associate Planner
VERBAL COMMUNICATIONS – NONE
1. Approval of Minutes
• None
2. 325 W. Main Street (Previously approved October 28, 2015)
Historic Architecture and Site Application HS-15-071
Requesting approval of exterior modifications for a contributing single-family
residence in the Broadway Historic District on property zoned R-1D:LHP. APN
510-45-002.
PROPERTY OWNER: Morgan Elisa C Trustee
APPLICANT: Brian Aced c/o De Mattei Construction
PROJECT PLANNER: Marni Moseley
MOTION: Kathryn Janoff moved to deny the modifications as presented and provided the
following direction:
• The existing siding on the residence should be maintained and matched in the
additions.
• The garage siding should match that of the residence and employ real wood
materials if possible within the State Wildland Urban Interface requirements.
• Windows above the rear gable may be appropriate if matching in style and
materials to that of the front gable.
• All windows should have divisions consistent with the existing windows.
The motion was seconded by Michael Kane.
VOTE: Motion passes 3-0-2, Len Pacheco and Tom O’Donnell absent.
