MINUTES OF THE HISTORIC PRESERVATION COMMITTEE SPECIAL MEETING
DECEMBER 11, 2019
The Historic Preservation Committee of the Town of Los Gatos conducted a Regular Meeting on
December 11, 2019, at 4:00 p.m.

1. Approval of Minutes – November 13, 2019
MOTION: Motion by Committee Member Thomas O’Donnell to approve the
consent calendar. Seconded by Committee Member Nancy Derham.
VOTE: Motion passed unanimously 3-0-1, Vice Chair Robert Cowan absent.
PUBLIC HEARINGS
2. 477 University Avenue
Building Permit Application B19-0907
Requesting approval for exterior alterations to a pre-1941 single-family residence on
property zoned R-1D. APN 529-07-029.

Committee members discussed the matter.
MOTION: Motion by Committee Member Thomas O’Donnell to recommend
approval of the requested alterations as exterior wall coverings and /or
additions are not original to the structure to the satisfaction of the
Community Development Director. Seconded by Committee Member
Nancy Derham.
VOTE: Motion passed unanimously 3-0-1, Vice Chair Robert Cowan absent.

Minor Residential Development Application MR-19-024
Requesting approval for construction of a two-story addition to a contributing single-
family residence in the Broadway Historic District on property zoned R-1D:LHP.
APN 510-45-059.

MOTION: Motion by Committee Member Nancy Derham to recommend approval
of the requested addition, with symmetrical windows preferred, to the
satisfaction of the Community Development Director. Seconded by Chair
Matthew Hudes.
VOTE: Motion passed unanimously 3-0-1, Vice Chair Robert Cowan absent.
