CONSENT ITEMS (TO BE ACTED UPON BY A SINGLE MOTION) 1. Approval of Minutes – December 13, 2018 MOTION: Motion by Committee Member Tom O’Donnell to approve the consent calendar. Seconded by Committee Member Robert Cowan. VOTE: Motion passed 4-0-1, Committee Member Leonard Pacheco absent PUBLIC HEARINGS 2. 11 Peralta Avenue Requesting approval for construction of an addition to an existing second story of a pre- 1941 single-family residence on property zoned R-1:8. APN 510-42-073. PROPERTY OWNER: Wendy Fan Kandasamy APPLICANT: Tony Jeans PROJECT PLANNER: Erin Walters Erin Walters, Associate Planner, presented the staff report. The Applicant presented the proposed project. Lee Quintana - Expressed concerns regarding window type – double-hung style or casement with muntins. Closed the Public Comment. Committee members discussed the matter. MOTION: Motion by Vice Chair Matthew Hudes to recommend approval of the request with the following conditions: all windows shall be double hung and the rear second story trellis may be removed or reduced to three feet or less. Seconded by Committee Member Robert Cowan. VOTE: Motion passed unanimously. OTHER BUSINESS 3. 445 Los Gatos Blvd Requesting preliminary review of a proposal for construction of a second-story addition to a pre-1941 single-family residence on property zoned R-1:8. APN 529-20-006. PROPERTY OWNER/APPLICANT: Shahbaz Akhtar PROJECT PLANNER: Sean Mullin Sean Mullin, Associate Planner, presented the staff report. The Applicant presented the proposed project. Committee members discussed the matter. 4. 15945 Camino del Cerro Requesting repair of exterior wall covering on a historically designated property zoned R-1:8:LHP. APN 523-24-066. PROPERTY OWNER/APPLICANT: Paul Kent PROJECT PLANNER: Jocelyn Shoopman Jocelyn Shoopman, Associate Planner, presented the staff report. Committee members discussed the matter and found merit in the request. MOTION: Motion by Committee Member Leonard Pacheco to elect Matthew Hudes as Chair. Seconded by Committee Member Thomas O’Donnell. VOTE: Motion passed unanimously. MOTION: Motion by Committee Member Leonard Pacheco to elect Robert Cowan as Vice Chair. Seconded by Chair Matthew Hudes. VOTE: Motion passed unanimously.
