The meeting was called to order at 4:00P.M. by Chair Bob Cowan. ATTENDANCE Members Present: Bob Cowan, Kathryn Janoff, Michael Kane, Len Pacheco , Tom O'Donnell Members Absent: None Staff Present: Joel Paul son, Community Development Director Sally Zamowitz, Planning Manager Sylvie Roussel, Administrative Assistant VERBAL COMMUNICATIONS-NONE 1. Approval of Minutes -July 27, 2016 MOTION: Tom O'Donnell moved to approve the minutes of July 27,2016. The moti o n was seconded by Michael Kan e. VOTE: Motion passes 5-0. 2. 125 Tait Avenue Requesting approval for a remodel and construction of an approximately 70 square-foot addition at the rear of an existing single-family residence in the Almond Grove Historic Di strict on property zo ned R-1 D:LHP . APN 510-1 8-033 . PROPERTY OWNER: Brian and Casey Quigley APPLICANT: Jay Plett PROJECT PLANNER: Sally Zamowitz MOTION: Michael Kane moved to approve the request with a recommendation to restore the front porch to match the historic compatibility of the di strict. The motion was seconded by Kathryn Janoff VOTE: Motion passes 5-0. APN 529-35-005. PROPERTY OWNER/ APPLICANT: Ann Kownacki PROJECT PLANNER: Erin Walters MOTION: Len Pacheco moved to recommend approval of the request to the Community Development Director. The motion was seconded by Kathryn Janoff. VOTE: Motion passes 5-0. 4. 112 Los Gatos Boulevard Building Permit B 15-0874 Requesting approval for modifications to the front elevation of a structure li sted on the Historic Resources Inventory (HRI) on property z oned R-1 D. APN 532- 29-101. PROPERTY OWNER: Randolph Ditz ler APPLICANT: David P. Zicovich PROJECT PLANNER: Sally Zamowitz MOTION: Len Pacheco moved to recommend approval of the request with the following modifications: the stone base should be craftsman style and wrapped around the porch; match the attic vent detail under the gable ends; and eliminate the vertical siding. The motion was seconded by Kathryn J anoff VOTE: Motion passes 5-0. 5. 16743 Shannon Road Requesting removal of an existing pre-1941 s ingle-family residence from th e Historic Resources In ventory to construct a new s ingle-famil y residence on property zoned R-1 :8. Jamieson APPLICANT: Jay Plett PROJECT PLANNER: Sally Zamowitz MOTION: Kathryn Janoff moved to approve the removal of the s ingle-family residence from the Historic Resources Inventory with the recommendation that any modifica.tions to the property stay compatible with the s urrounding neighborhood. The motion was seconded by Tom O 'Donnell.
