Main Street Los Gatos, CA 95030 ● 408-354-6874 www.losgatosca.gov TOWN OF LOS GATOS DEVELOPMENT REVIEW COMMITTEE REPORT MINUTES OF THE DEVELOPMENT REVIEW COMMITTEE MEETING DECEMBER 1, 2020 The Development Review Committee of the Town of Los Gatos conducted a Regular Teleconference Meeting on December 1, 2020, at 10:00 a.m. This meeting was conducted utilizing teleconferencing and electronic means consistent with State of California Executive Order N-29-20 dated March 17, 2020, regarding the COVID-19 pandemic and was conducted via Zoom. All committee members and staff partic ipated from remote locations and all voting was conducted via roll call vote. In accordance with Executive Order N-29-20, the public could only view the meeting online and not in the Council Chamber. ROLL CALL Present: Sally Zarnowitz, CDD Planning; Robert Gray, CDD Building; Mike Weisz, PPW Engineering; Rob Campbell, SCCFD. Absent: None. Staff: Erin Walters, CDD Planning; Rob Schultz, Town Attorney. MEETING CALLED TO ORDER AT 10:02 AM VERBAL COMMUNICATIONS - None. CONSENT ITEMS 1. Approval of Minutes – November 17, 2020 MOTION: Motion by Robert Gray to approve the consent calendar. Seconded by Mike Weisz. VOTE: Motion passed unanimously 4-0. PUBLIC HEARINGS PAGE 2 OF 3 DEVELOPMENT REVIEW COMMITTEE MINUTES OF DECEMBER 1, 2020 2. 4 Glen Ridge Avenue Architecture and Site Application S-20-011 Requesting approval for site improvements requiring a grading permit on property zoned R-1D. APN 510-42-016. PROPERTY OWNERS/APPLICANT: Charlotte and Michael Sparacino PROJECT PLANNER: Erin Walters The project planner, Erin Walters, presented the staff report. She shared one public comment received before the meeting regarding concerns of construction noise occurring during the Shelter-In-Place, while people are working from home. Opened Public Comment. Michael Sparacino Applicant speaking on behalf of the project. He is looking forward to the completion of this project. Chris Spaulding Architect speaking on behalf of the project. We are going to restore this home and provide a useable garage with minor changes to the look of the historic home. He is also available to answer questions. Niki Omidi Neighbor. She is looking forward to the project. Her questions are regarding landscaping and an on-site fire pit. Michael Sparacino Answering the landscaping question: There isn’t much landscaping on the property, so there will be no changes taking place. We do not have a fire pit on-site. The previous owner had a portable fire pit. Chris Spaulding There are no plans for a fire pit at this time and per the Conditions of Approval front yard landscaping will be required. Committee discussion on project: Robert Gray Responding to the public comment received regarding working during COVID: This project, like any other construction project, will be subject to the construction safety protocol put in place and monitored by Santa Clara County. Seconded by Mike Weisz. VOTE: Motion passed unanimously 4-0. OTHER BUSINESS - None.
