Main Street Los Gatos, CA 95030 ● 408-354-6874 www.losgatosca.gov TOWN OF LOS GATOS DEVELOPMENT REVIEW COMMITTEE REPORT MINUTES OF THE DEVELOPMENT REVIEW COMMITTEE MEETING OCTOBER 13, 2020 The Development Review Committee of the Town of Los Gatos conducted a Regular Teleconference Meeting on October 13, 2020, at 10:00 a.m. This meeting was conducted utilizing teleconferencing and electronic means consistent with State of California Executive Order N-29-20 dated March 17, 2020, regarding the COVID-19 pandemic and was conducted via Zoom. All committee members and staff participated from remote locations and all voting was conducted via roll call vote. In accordance with Executive Order N-29-20, the public could only view the meeting online and not in the Council Chamber. ROLL CALL Present: Sally Zarnowitz, CDD Planning; Robert Gray, CDD Building; Mike Weisz, PPW Engineering; and Kenny Ip, SCCFD. Absent: None Staff: Jocelyn Shoopman, CDD Planning; and Tracy Staiger, SCCFD. MEETING CALLED TO ORDER AT 10:04 AM VERBAL COMMUNICATIONS - None. CONSENT ITEMS 1. Approval of Minutes – October 6, 2020 MOTION: Motion by Robert Gray to approve the consent calendar. Seconded by Mike Weisz. VOTE: Motion passed unanimously. APN 567-18-051. PROPERTY OWNER: Zari and Majid Mohazzab APPLICANT: Majid Mohazzab PROJECT PLANNER: Jocelyn Shoopman The project planner presented the staff report. Opened public comment. Majid Mohazzab He is the applicant speaking on behalf of the application. Majid thanks the Planning department for their work. He shared the history of the property and the previous developments on the property. The property was rented out and used for a preschool for nearly 20 years but due to COVID-19, the tenants closed their school in August. He would like to redevelop the property with three separate parcels for his family. P. Saban They have been a resident since 2007. They are in support of this three-lot development. The property is an eyesore and illegal dumping is occurring. Developing this property will allow positive changes to the community. Majid Mohazzab He (the applicant) is more than happy to work with the community to ensure the project is fits into the community. Closed public comment. MOTION: Motion by Kenny Ip to approve the application with the required findings and considerations and the recommended conditions of approval. Second by Robert Gray. VOTE: Motion passed unanimously.
