AUGUST 6, 2019
The Development Review Committee of the Town of Los Gatos conducted a Regular Meeting on
August 6, 2019, at 10:05 a.m.

Committee members recited the Pledge of Allegiance. The audience was invited to participate.

PUBLIC HEARINGS

Conditional Use Permit Application U-19-008
Requesting approval for a Conditional Use Permit for a restaurant with alcohol service
(Oren’s Hummus) on property zoned C-2:LHP. APN 510-44-077.
PROPERTY OWNER: La Canada Investments, LLC
APPLICANT: Ahmad Mohazab
PROJECT PLANNER: Sean Mullin
Sally Zarnowitz, Planning Manager, presented the staff report for Sean Mullin, Associate
Planner.
Opened Public Comment.
Ahmad Mohazab
- He is excited about the project and available to answer questions.

Paul Matulich
- He founded Steamer’s Grillhouse. He is concerned about the approval of new restaurants
and would like to see stringent guidelines for the service of alcohol, parking, and waste
management.
Jason Farwell
- Speaking for the owners, he is excited about the project. They feel it is a great use for this
corner and it will improve the environment.

Committee members discussed the matter.
MOTION: Motion by Mike Weisz to approve. Seconded by Robert Gray
VOTE: Motion passed unanimously.
