The meeting was called to order at 10:07 a.m. by Chair Machado. ATTENDANCE Members Present: Sally Zarnowitz, Planning Manager Azhar Khan, Assistant Planner Doug Harding, Fire Department Michael Machado, Building Qfficial Mike Weisz, Associate Civil Engineer Admas Zewdie, Project Manager Tracy Staiger, Fire Department PUBLIC HEARINGS ITEM 1: 16570 Shady View Lane Architecture and Site Application S-16-0 14 Requesting approval for a technical demolition of an existing single-family residence and to construct a new single-family residence on property zoned R-1 :8. APN 532-42-026. PROPERTY OWNER/APPLICANT: Nilesh Parate and Joycie Bahl PROJECT PLANNER: Azhar Khan (Continued.from 9127116) 1. Cha ir Machado opened the public hearing. 2. Staff gave report on proposed project. 3. Applicant was not present. 4. Members of the public were not present. 5. Public hearing closed. 6. Sally Zarnowitz moved to continue the application to the October 11 , 2016 Development Review Committee meeting to allow time for the applicant to work with the neighbors on potential design revisions. 7. Mike Weisz seconded , motion passed unanimously. ITEM 2 : 57 Los Gatos-Saratoga Road Architecture and Site Application S-15-012 Requesting approval to install a trellis over an approved outdoor seating patio for a hotel/restaurant (The Inn of Los Gatos) on property zoned CH:PD. Tracy Staiger moved to approve the appli cation subject to the conditions presented with the following findings and considerations: FIND IN GS Required finding for CEQA: The proj ect is Categorically Exempt purs uant to the adopted Guidelines for the Im plementation of th e California Environmental Qualit y Act, Section 15301 : Existing Facilities in that the project consist s of exterior modificatio ns to an existing commercial building th at will not be . . . . mcreasmg m s 1z e. Required finding for the Commercial Design Guidelines: The exterior modifications a re consistent with a pplicable provisions of th e Commerci a l Design Guidelines. CONSIDERATIONS Considerations in review of Architecture & Site applications: As required b y Section 29.20.150 of the Town Code, the conside rations in review of an architecture and s ite application were a ll made in reviewing this project. The pro p osed trellis is consistent and compatible with th e existing a nd surrounding buildings. 7. Mike Wei sz seconded, motion p assed unanimous ly. 8. Appeal rights were cited .
