06-05-01 Minutes - DRC TOWN OF LOS GATOS 110 East Main Street, Los Gatos, CA 95032 (408) 354-6872 ------------------------------------------------------------------------- -------------------------------------------------------------- SUMMARY MINUTES OF A REGULAR MEETING OF THE DEVELOPMENT REVIEW COMMITTEE OF THE TOWN OF LOS GATOS FOR June 5, 2001 HELD IN THE TOWN COUNCIL CHAMBERS, CIVIC CENTER, 110 EAST MAIN STREET, LOS GATOS, CALIFORNIA. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- -------------------------------------------------------------- The meeting was called to order at 9:10 A.M. by Chair Baily. ATTENDANCE Members Present: Sandy Baily, Associate Planner Joel Paulson, Assistant Planner Steve Kowalski, Assistant Planner Trish Duarte, Senior Engineer Technician Steve Lynch, Assistant Planner Julie Linney, Fire Department VERBAL COMMUNICATIONS: Mr. Ray Davis expressed concerns about fire prevention requirements during the Development Review Process. ITEM 1: 290 Wooded View Drive Architecture and Site Application S-00-84 Requesting approval to construct a new single family residence on property zoned HR-2 1/2. PROPERTY OWNER: Michael D. Fletcher APPLICANT: Camargo & Associates, Inc. Deemed incomplete by the Planning Division. Does not need to return to the Development Review Committee. Matter is already scheduled for a Planning Commission hearing as a continued item. ITEM 2: 315 Pennsylvania Avenue Architecture and Site Application S-00-123 Appeal of the decision of the Development Review Committee denying a request to construct a new single-family residence on property zoned R-1:8. PROPERTY OWNER/APPLICANT/APPELLANT: Michael Grabill Deemed incomplete by Engineering and Planning Divisions. Parks & Forestry comments were not available. Does not need to return to the Development Review Committee. Matter is already scheduled for a Planning Commission hearing as a con tinued item. ITEM 3: 112 Ayala Court Architecture and Site Application S-01-054 Requesting approval of a grading permit to construct a swimming pool on property zoned HR-1. PROPERTY OWNER: Chris Collins APPLICANT: Lifetime Pools Deemed incomplete by Engineering and Planning Divisions. Does not need to return to the Development Review Committee. Once complete, Notice of Intent to Approve will be mailed. ITEM 4: 16371 Oleander Avenue Architecture and Site Application S-00-77 Requesting approval to demolish an existing residence and to construct a new single family residence on property prezoned R -1:8. PROPERTY OWNER/APPLICANT: Brad and Kirsten Jaeb Deemed incomplete by Planning Division. Parks & Forestry comments were not available. Does not need to return to the Development Review Committee. Once complete, Notice of Intent to Approve will be mailed if it is determined that architecture is compatible with DRC Minutes 3 June 5, 2001 neighborhood. ITEM 5: 145 Bella Vista Avenue a. Architecture and Site Application S-00-121 b. Negative Declaration ND-01-9 Requesting approval to construct a new residence on property zoned R -1:8. PROPERTY OWNER/APPLICANT: James Kennedy Deemed incomplete by Planning Division. Parks & Forestry comments were not available. Once complete, environmental review process will commence. ITEM 6: Oak Hill Way a. Architecture and Site Application S-01-18 b. Negative Declaration ND-01-5 Requesting approval to construct a new single family residence in the R -1D zone. If no significant environmental impacts are identified as a result of this project a Negative Declaration will be recommended. PROPERTY OWNER/APPLICANT: James Kennedy Parks & Forestry comments were not available. If there are no comments by Parks, application will be deemed complete and environmental review process will commence. ITEM 7: 14855 Oka Road a. Conditional Use Permit Application U-01-5 b. Architecture and Site Application S-01-13 c. Negative Declaration ND-01-3 Requesting approval of a master site plan for the Jewish Community Center and to construct and operate expanded facilities including a school, fitness center, day care and a youth and s senior center on property zoned R -1:8. If no significant environmental impacts are identified as a result of this project a Negative Declaration will be recommended. PROPERTY OWNER: Addison-Penzak Jewish Community Center DRC Minutes 4 June 5, 2001 APPLICANT: Dennis Kobza & Associates Deemed incomplete by Planning Division. Parks & Forestry comments were not available. Once complete, environmental review process will commence. ADJOURNMENT Meeting adjourned at 11:00 A.M.
