06-26-01 Minutes - DRC TOWN OF LOS GATOS 110 East Main Street, Los Gatos, CA 95032 (408) 354-6872 ------------------------------------------------------------------------- -------------------------------------------------------------- SUMMARY MINUTES OF A REGULAR MEETING OF THE DEVELOPMENT REVIEW COMMITTEE OF THE TOWN OF LOS GATOS FOR June 26, 2001 HELD IN THE TOWN COUNCIL CHAMBERS, CIVIC CENTER, 110 EAST MAIN STREET, LOS GATOS, CALIFORNIA. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- -------------------------------------------------------------- The meeting was called to order at 9:05A.M. by Chair Baily. ATTENDANCE Members Present: Sandy Baily, Associate Planner Joel Paulson, Assistant Planner Steve Kowalski, Assistant Planner Tim Boyer, Parks Department Trish Duarte, Senior Engineer Technician Steve Lynch, Assistant Planner Julie Linney, Fire Department Melissa Huang, Assistant Engineer ITEM 1: 310 Los Gatos-Saratoga Road Architecture and Site Application S-01-60 Requesting approval to alter the facade of a commercial building on property in the R-1D zone. PROPERTY OWNER: Robert and Laurette Kirkendall APPLICANT: Todd Edwards, Peninou French Laundry and Cleaners, Inc. Deemed complete. Notice of intent to approve the application will be mailed. If there is no opposition, application will be approved. ITEM 2: 121 Albright Way Architecture and Site Application S-01-059 Requesting approval to remove an existing generator and to install a new generator on property zoned CM. PROPERTY OWNER: Los Gatos Business Park APPLICANT: Jeppesen Data Plan Deemed complete. Application approved. ITEM 3: 170 Stacia Street Architecture and Site Application S-01-62 Requesting approval to demolish a single family residence and to construct a new single family residence on property zoned R -1:20. PROPERTY OWNER/APPLICANT: Tony and Carol Jeans Deemed complete by Engineering & Planning Divisions. Does not return to the Development Review Committee. Once complete, notice of intent to approve will be mailed. ITEM 4: Corner of Kennedy and Shannon Roads Architecture and Site Application S-00-40 Negative Declaration ND-00-8 Requesting approval to construct a new single family residence on property prezoned HR-20. No significant environm ental impacts have been identified as a result of this project and a Negative Declaration is recommended. PROPERTY OWNERS: Rich Forest and Lou Chetaud APPLICANT: Mark McKinney Deemed incomplete by Planning & Engineering Divisions. Matter scheduled for the Planning Commission hearing as a continued item. DRC Minutes June 26, 2001 ITEM 5: 300 Calle Marguerita a. Development Application PD-99-002 b. Negative Declaration ND-99-10 Request for approval of a zone change from R-1:8 to RM:5-12:PD to construct eight townhouses. No significant environmental impacts have been identified and a Negative Declaration is recommended. PROPERTY OWNER: HL & L 99 LLC APPLICANT: Sui Hwu Deemed incomplete by Parks & Forestry Division. Matter scheduled for the Planning Commission hearing as a continued item. ITEM 6: Northwest Corner of Newell Avenue and Winchester Blvd a. Rezoning Application with General Plan Amendment Z-01-1 b. Architecture and Site Application S-01-44 c. Variance Application V-01-1 d. Negative Declaration ND-01-7 Requesting approval of (a) a General Plan Amendment from low density to office and a zone change from R-1:8 and R-1:12 to O (b) Architecture and Site approval to construct an office buillding and (c) a Variance to reduce the required setbacks , to exceed the allowable lot coverage, and to have off -site parking. If no significant environmental impacts are identified as a result of this project a Negative Declaration will be recommended. PROPERTY OWNER/APPLICANT: Los Gatos Elks Building Corp. Plans deemed complete. Environmental review process will commence. ADJOURNMENT Meeting adjourned at 10:20 A.M.
