04-17-01 Minutes - DRC TOWN OF LOS GATOS 110 East Main Street, Los Gatos, CA 95032 (408) 354-6872 ------------------------------------------------------------------------- -------------------------------------------------------------- SUMMARY MINUTES OF A REGULAR MEETING OF THE DEVELOPMENT REVIEW COMMITTEE OF THE TOWN OF LOS GATOS FOR APRIL 17, 2001 HELD IN THE TOWN COUNCIL CHAMBERS, CIVIC CENTER, 110 EAST MAIN STREET, LOS GATOS, CALIFORNIA. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- -------------------------------------------------------------- The meeting was called to order at 9:00A.M. by Chair Baily. ATTENDANCE Members Present: Sandy Baily, Associate Planner Steve Lynch, Assistant Planner Joel Paulson, Assistant Planner Tim Boyer, Parks and Forestry Division Fred Ho, Engineering Division Julie Linney, Fire Department ITEM 1: 16041 Blossom Hill Road (Revised Plans) Architecture and Site Application S-01-38 Requesting approval to demolish a single family residence and to construct a new single family residence with a detached structure over 450 square feet in area on property zoned R -1:8. PROPERTY OWNER: Hong Nguyen APPLICANT: Daryl Fazekas Deemed incomplete by Planning, Engineering and Parks & Forestry Divisions. Does not need to return to DRC. Compatibility with the neighborhood may be an issue. If it is determined that the house is not compatible, matter will be referred to Planning Commission. If it is compatible, notice of intent to approve will be mailed. ITEM 2: Oak Hill Way (Revised Plans) a. Architecture and Site Application S-01-18 b. Negative Declaration ND-01-5 Requesting approval to construct a new single family residence in the R-1D zone. If no significant environmental impacts are identified as a result of this project a Negative Declaration will be recommended. PROPERTY OWNER\APPLICANT: James Kennedy Deemed incomplete by Planning and Parks & Forestry Divisions. Must return to DRC. ITEM 3: 145 Bella Vista Avenue (Revised Plans) Architecture and Site Application S-00-121 Requesting approval to construct a new residence on property zoned R-1:8. PROPERTY OWNER/APPLICANT: James Kennedy Deemed incomplete by Planning and Parks & Forestry Divisions. Does not need to return to DRC. Once complete, matter will be scheduled for next available Planning Commission Meeting. ITEM 4: 14 Cross Way Architecture and Site Application S-01-43 Requesting approval to demolish a detached garage and to construct a new detached garage within the required setbacks on a nonconforming lot zoned R-1:8. PROPERTY OWNER \APPLICANT: James Kennedy Deemed complete. Notices of intent to approve will be mailed. ITEM 5: Northwest Corner of Newell Avenue and Winchester Blvd a. Rezoning Application with General Plan Amendment Z-01-1 b. Architecture and Site Application S-01-44 c. Variance Application V-01-1 c. Negative Declaration ND-01-7 Requesting approval of (a) a General Plan Amendment from low density to office and a zone change from R-1:8 and R-1:12 to O (b) Architecture and Site approval to construct an office building and (c) a Variance to reduce the required setbacks. If no significant environmental impacts are identified as a result of this project a Negative Declaration will be recommended. PROPERTY OWNER\APPLICANT: Los Gatos Elks Building Corp. DRC Minutes April 17, 2001 −3− Deemed incomplete by Planning, Engineering and Parks & Forestry Divis ions. Must return to DRC. ITEM 6: 17435 and 17443 Farley Road (Revised Plans) a. Planned Development Application PD-99-1 b. Project Application PRJ-98-171 c. Negative Declaration ND-99-0002 Requesting approval of a Planned Development to change the zone from LM to LM:PD to construct a two story research and development building with underground parking, and an Architecture and Site application to demolish two pre-1941 structures and convert a single family residence to a triplex. No significant environmental impacts have been identified as a result of this project, and a Negative Declaration is recommended. PROPERTY OWNER: William Errico & Dennis Chegwin APPLICANT: C.E. Development Deemed incomplete by Planning and Parks & Forestry Divisions. Does not need to return to DRC. Matter scheduled for Planning Commission Meeting of 4/25/01 as a continued item.
