SUMMARY MINUTES OF A REGULAR MEETING OF THE DEVELOPMENT REVIEW
COMMITTEE OF THE TOWN OF LOS GATOS FOR MARCH 28, 2000 HELD IN THE TOWN
COUNCIL CHAMBERS, CIVIC CENTER, 110 EAST MAIN STREET, LOS GATOS,
CALIFORNIA.

The meeting was called to order at 9:00 A.M. by Chair Baily.
ATTENDANCE

ITEM 1: 720 Blossom Hill Road
Architecture and Site Application S-00-12
Requesting approval to add square footage to an existing grocery store on property
zoned C-1.
PROPERTY OWNER: Federal Realty Investment Trust
APPLICANT: Lunardis Markets
Deemed incomplete by Planning Department. Does not need to return to Development
Review Committee. Once matter is complete, matter will be scheduled for next available
Planning Commission meeting.
ITEM 2: 49 Chester Street
Architecture and Site Application S-99-17
Requesting Architecture and Site approval to add a second story addition and to exceed
the allowable Floor Area Ratio on property zoned R-1D.

Requesting approval to exceed the allowable FAR for a second story addition to a
pre-1941 residence and to relocate an existing garage within the required side yard

b. Negative Declaration ND-98-0015
Requesting approval of a Planned Development to change the zoning designation from
RC and HR-5 to HR-2 1/2:PD to create six home sites and a General Plan amendment
to delete the private access requirements to Guadalupe College from Limekiln Road and
a General Plan and Hillside Specific Plan Amendment to change the land use from Open
Space to Hillside Residential and to modify the trail locations . If no significant
environmental impacts are identified as a result of this project, a Negative Declaration w ill
be recommended and an Environmental Impact Report will not be required.
PROPERTY OWNER: McCarthy Land Co. LLC
APPLICANT: TS/Civil Engineering, Inc.
Deemed incomplete by Planning and Parks & Forestry Departments. Does not need to
return to Development Review Committee. Once the plans and the initial study is
completed, the matter will be scheduled for next available Planning Commission meeting.
ADJOURNMENT Meeting adjourned at 10:35 A.M. The next regularly scheduled
meeting of the Development Review Committee is Tuesday, April 11,
2000 (April 4, 2000 DRC meeting has been canceled due to lack of
items).
