8. Veteran's Foundation update regarding a proposed Veterans Memorial at the
Los Gatos Civic Center
Christina Gilmore, Assistant to the Town Manager, presented the staff report.
Opened Public Comment at 7:46 p.m.
Len Pacheco
Commented on the proposed layout and the lack of a design professional on the
review panel.
Angelia Doerner
- Commented in support of the memorial.
David Stonesifer
- Commented on the size of the proposed new concrete walk.
John Shepardson
- Thanked the Veterans Foundation for their time and suggested the area be named
"Veterans Park."
Lee Quintana
- Requested clarification of the proposed site.

Council discussed the matter.
RfdOiGONI:
Motion by Vice Mayor Barbara Spector to approve the proposed
location to the extent that it is in the redwood grove and ivy, that it
is in the location that is adjacent to the parking lot next to the
building that the New Museum of Los Gatos (NUMU) occupies, and
that it incorporates a concrete walk that accommodates ADA
requirements. Seconded by Council `,'ember Marico Sayoc.
VOTE: Motion passed unanimously.
